Linux-2.6.12-rc2 Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!

[PATCH] mark struct inode_operations const 1 Many struct inode_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to these shared resources. [PATCH] affs: implement ->drop_inode affs wants to truncate the inode when the last user goes away, currently it does that through a potentially racy i_count check in ->put_inode. But we already have a method that's called just after the we dropped the last reference, ->drop_inode. This patch implements affs_drop_inode to take advantage of this. [PATCH] update filesystems for new delete_inode behavior Update the file systems in fs/ implementing a delete_inode() callback to call truncate_inode_pages(). One implementation note: In developing this patch I put the calls to truncate_inode_pages() at the very top of those filesystems delete_inode() callbacks in order to retain the previous behavior. I'm guessing that some of those could probably be optimized.
