4c8de3b2d2 spi: uapi: spidev: add missing ioctl header
commit a2b4a79b88 upstream.

The SPI_IOC_MESSAGE() macro references _IOC_SIZEBITS. Add linux/ioctl.h
to make sure this macro is defined. This fixes the following build
failure of lcdproc with the musl libc:

6d7b8fbe4a fcntl: Don't use ambiguous SIG_POLL si_codes
commit d08477aa97 upstream.

We have a weird and problematic intersection of features that when
they all come together result in ambiguous siginfo values, that
we can not support properly.

- Supporting fcntl(F_SETSIG,...) with arbitrary valid signals.

- Using positive values for POLL_IN, POLL_OUT, POLL_MSG, ..., etc
that imply they are signal specific si_codes and using the
aforementioned arbitrary signal to deliver them.

- Supporting injection of arbitrary siginfo values for debugging and
  checkpoint/restore.

The result is that just looking at siginfo si_codes of 1 to 6 are
ambigious. It could either be a signal specific si_code or it could
be a generic si_code.

For most of the kernel this is a non-issue but for sending signals
with siginfo it is impossible to play back the kernel signals and
get the same result.

Strictly speaking when the si_code was changed from SI_SIGIO to
POLL_IN and friends between 2.2 and 2.4 this functionality was not
ambiguous, as only real time signals were supported. Before 2.4 was
released the kernel began supporting siginfo with non realtime signals
so they could give details of why the signal was sent.

The result is that if F_SETSIG is set to one of the signals with signal
specific si_codes then user space can not know why the signal was sent.

I grepped through a bunch of userspace programs using debian code
search to get a feel for how often people choose a signal that results
in an ambiguous si_code. I only found one program doing so and it was
using SIGCHLD to test the F_SETSIG functionality, and did not appear
to be a real world usage.

Therefore the ambiguity does not appears to be a real world problem in
practice. Remove the ambiguity while introducing the smallest chance
of breakage by changing the si_code to SI_SIGIO when signals with
signal specific si_codes are targeted.

cc81fff9d6 USB: fix out-of-bounds in usb_set_configuration
commit bd7a3fe770 upstream.

Andrey Konovalov reported a possible out-of-bounds problem for a USB interface
association descriptor. He writes:
It seems there's no proper size check of a USB_DT_INTERFACE_ASSOCIATION
descriptor. It's only checked that the size is >= 2 in
	usb_parse_configuration(), so find_iad() might do out-of-bounds access
	to intf_assoc->bInterfaceCount.

And he's right, we don't check for crazy descriptors of this type very well, so
resolve this problem. Yet another issue found by syzkaller...

00834185e9 netfilter: ctnetlink: make it safer when updating ct->status
commit 53b56da83d upstream.

After converting to use rcu for conntrack hash, one CPU may update
the ct->status via ctnetlink, while another CPU may process the
packets and update the ct->status.

So the non-atomic operation "ct->status |= status;" via ctnetlink
becomes unsafe, and this may clear the IPS_DYING_BIT bit set by
another CPU unexpectedly. For example:
         CPU0 CPU1
  ctnetlink_change_status __nf_conntrack_find_get
      old = ct->status              nf_ct_gc_expired
          - nf_ct_kill
          - test_and_set_bit(IPS_DYING_BIT
      new = old | status;                 -
ct->status = new; <-- oops, _DYING_ is cleared!

Now using a series of atomic bit operation to solve the above issue.

Also note, user shouldn't set IPS_TEMPLATE, IPS_SEQ_ADJUST directly,
so make these two bits be unchangable too.

If we set the IPS_TEMPLATE_BIT, ct will be freed by nf_ct_tmpl_free,
but actually it is alloced by nf_conntrack_alloc.
If we set the IPS_SEQ_ADJUST_BIT, this may cause the NULL pointer
deference, as the nfct_seqadj(ct) maybe NULL.

Last, add some comments to describe the logic change due to the
commit a963d710f3 ("netfilter: ctnetlink: Fix regression in CTA_STATUS
processing"), which makes me feel a little confusing.

07a365dd69 netlink: remove mmapped netlink support
commit d1b4c689d4 upstream.

mmapped netlink has a number of unresolved issues:

- TX zerocopy support had to be disabled more than a year ago via
commit 4682a03586 ("netlink: Always copy on mmap TX.")
because the content of the mmapped area can change after netlink
attribute validation but before message processing.

- RX support was implemented mainly to speed up nfqueue dumping packet
payload to userspace. However, since commit ae08ce0021
("netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: zero copy support") we avoid one copy
with the socket-based interface too (via the skb_zerocopy helper).

The other problem is that skbs attached to mmaped netlink socket
behave different from normal skbs:

- they don't have a shinfo area, so all functions that use skb_shinfo()
(e.g. skb_clone) cannot be used.

- reserving headroom prevents userspace from seeing the content as
it expects message to start at skb->head.
See for instance
commit aa3a022094 ("netlink: not trim skb for mmaped socket when dump").

- skbs handed e.g. to netlink_ack must have non-NULL skb->sk, else we
crash because it needs the sk to check if a tx ring is attached.

Also not obvious, leads to non-intuitive bug fixes such as 7c7bdf359
("netfilter: nfnetlink: use original skbuff when acking batches").

mmaped netlink also didn't play nicely with the skb_zerocopy helper
used by nfqueue and openvswitch. Daniel Borkmann fixed this via
commit 6bb0fef489 ("netlink, mmap: fix edge-case leakages in nf queue
zero-copy")' but at the cost of also needing to provide remaining
length to the allocation function.

nfqueue also has problems when used with mmaped rx netlink:
- mmaped netlink doesn't allow use of nfqueue batch verdict messages.
Problem is that in the mmap case, the allocation time also determines
the ordering in which the frame will be seen by userspace (A
allocating before B means that A is located in earlier ring slot,
but this also means that B might get a lower sequence number then A
since seqno is decided later. To fix this we would need to extend the
spinlocked region to also cover the allocation and message setup which
  isn't desirable.
- nfqueue can now be configured to queue large (GSO) skbs to userspace.
Queing GSO packets is faster than having to force a software segmentation
in the kernel, so this is a desirable option. However, with a mmap based
ring one has to use 64kb per ring slot element, else mmap has to fall back
to the socket path (NL_MMAP_STATUS_COPY) for all large packets.

To use the mmap interface, userspace not only has to probe for mmap netlink
support, it also has to implement a recv/socket receive path in order to
handle messages that exceed the size of an rx ring element.

3b5a43dad0 usb: add helper to extract bits 12:11 of wMaxPacketSize
commit 541b6fe630 upstream.

According to USB Specification 2.0 table 9-4,
wMaxPacketSize is a bitfield. Endpoint's maxpacket
is laid out in bits 10:0. For high-speed,
high-bandwidth isochronous endpoints, bits 12:11
contain a multiplier to tell us how many
transactions we want to try per uframe.

This means that if we want an isochronous endpoint
to issue 3 transfers of 1024 bytes per uframe,
wMaxPacketSize should contain the value:

	1024 | (2 << 11)

or 5120 (0x1400). In order to make Host and
Peripheral controller drivers' life easier, we're
adding a helper which returns bits 12:11. Note that
no care is made WRT to checking endpoint type and
gadget's speed. That's left for drivers to handle.

efd019f933 net/ipv6: add sysctl option accept_ra_min_hop_limit
commit 8013d1d7ea upstream.

Commit 6fd99094de ("ipv6: Don't reduce hop limit for an interface")
disabled accept hop limit from RA if it is smaller than the current hop
limit for security stuff. But this behavior kind of break the RFC definition.

RFC 4861, 6.3.4. Processing Received Router Advertisements
A Router Advertisement field (e.g., Cur Hop Limit, Reachable Time,
and Retrans Timer) may contain a value denoting that it is
unspecified. In such cases, the parameter should be ignored and the
host should continue using whatever value it is already using.

If the received Cur Hop Limit value is non-zero, the host SHOULD set
its CurHopLimit variable to the received value.

So add sysctl option accept_ra_min_hop_limit to let user choose the minimum
hop limit value they can accept from RA. And set default to 1 to meet RFC
standards.

f8c0c77b23 xdrm/i915: Use two 32bit reads for select 64bit REG_READ ioctls
commit 648a9bc530 upstream.

Since the hardware sometimes mysteriously totally flummoxes the 64bit
read of a 64bit register when read using a single instruction, split the
read into two instructions. Since the read here is of automatically
incrementing timestamp counters, we also have to be very careful in
order to make sure that it does not increment between the two
instructions.

However, since userspace tried to workaround this issue and so enshrined
this ABI for a broken hardware read and in the process neglected that
the read only fails in some environments, we have to introduce a new
uABI flag for userspace to request the 2x32 bit accurate read of the
timestamp.

70c17f4a9c USB: usbfs: allow URBs to be reaped after disconnection
commit 3f2cee73b6 upstream.

The usbfs API has a peculiar hole: Users are not allowed to reap their
URBs after the device has been disconnected. There doesn't seem to be
any good reason for this; it is an ad-hoc inconsistency.

The patch allows users to issue the USBDEVFS_REAPURB and
USBDEVFS_REAPURBNDELAY ioctls (together with their 32-bit counterparts
on 64-bit systems) even after the device is gone. If no URBs are
pending for a disconnected device then the ioctls will return -ENODEV
rather than -EAGAIN, because obviously no new URBs will ever be able
to complete.

The patch also adds a new capability flag for
USBDEVFS_GET_CAPABILITIES to indicate that the reap-after-disconnect
feature is supported.

5126045da7 RDMA/uapi: Include socket.h in rdma_user_cm.h
commit db1044d458 upstream.

added struct sockaddr_storage to rdma_user_cm.h without also adding an
include for linux/socket.h to make sure it is defined. Systemtap
needs the header files to build standalone and cannot rely on other
files to pre-include other headers, so add linux/socket.h to the list
of includes in this file.

d7afaec0b5 fuse: add FUSE_NO_OPEN_SUPPORT flag to INIT
Here some additional changes to set a capability flag so that clients can
detect when it's appropriate to return -ENOSYS from open.

This amends the following commit introduced in 3.14:

7678ac5061 fuse: support clients that don't implement 'open'

However we can only add the flag to 3.15 and later since there was no
protocol version update in 3.14.

f2af74123f tools: ffs-test: convert to new descriptor format fixing compilation error
Commit [ac8dde11: “usb: gadget: f_fs: Add flags to descriptors block”]
which introduced a new descriptor format for FunctionFS removed the
usb_functionfs_descs_head structure, which is still used by ffs-test.
tool.

Convert ffs-test by converting it to use the new header format. For
testing kernels prior to 3.14 (when the new format was introduced) and
parsing of the legacy headers in the new kernels, provide a compilation
flag to make the tool use the old format.

Finally, include information as to when the legacy FunctionFS headers
format has been deprecated (which is also when the new one has been
introduced).

2bd0ae464a ALSA: compress: Cancel the optimization of compiler and fix the size of struct for all platform.
Cancel the optimization of compiler for struct snd_compr_avail
which size will be 0x1c in 32bit kernel while 0x20 in 64bit
kernel under the optimizer. That will make compaction between
32bit and 64bit. So add packed to fix the size of struct
snd_compr_avail to 0x1c for all platform.

efd0f11d85 ip_vti: fix sparse warnings for VTI_ISVTI
This patch fixes the following sparse warnings:

net/ipv4/ip_tunnel.c:245:53: warning: restricted __be16 degrades to integer
net/ipv4/ip_vti.c:321:19: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types)
net/ipv4/ip_vti.c:321:19: expected restricted __be16 [addressable] [assigned] [usertype] i_flags
net/ipv4/ip_vti.c:321:19: got int
net/ipv4/ip_vti.c:447:24: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types)
net/ipv4/ip_vti.c:447:24: expected restricted __be16 [usertype] i_flags
net/ipv4/ip_vti.c:447:24: got int

Since VTI_ISVTI is always used with ip_tunnel_parm->i_flags (which is __be16),
we can __force cast VTI_ISVTI to __be16 in header file.

Pull nfsd updates from Bruce Fields:
"The largest piece is a long-overdue rewrite of the xdr code to remove
some annoying limitations: for example, there was no way to return
ACLs larger than 4K, and readdir results were returned only in 4k
chunks, limiting performance on large directories.

  Also:
        - part of Neil Brown's work to make NFS work reliably over the
loopback interface (so client and server can run on the same
machine without deadlocks). The rest of it is coming through
          other trees.
        - cleanup and bugfixes for some of the server RDMA code, from
          Steve Wise.
        - Various cleanup of NFSv4 state code in preparation for an
overhaul of the locking, from Jeff, Trond, and Benny.
        - smaller bugfixes and cleanup from Christoph Hellwig and
