ASoC: SDCA: Add helper to write out defaults and fixed values
The concept of an SDCA default value differs slightly from the regmap
usage of the term. An SDCA default is a value that is parsed from DisCo
and then written out to the hardware if no user value has superceded
it. Add a helper function that will iterate through all the SDCA
Controls and write out any default values. After these have been written
out once they will exist in the cache and that will take care of any
user values superceeding them. The code here also writes out any
Controls with a fixed value as there is only one available value for
these Controls there is no point in allowing the user to select them,
simply treat them similarly to a default.

ASoC: SDCA: Add regmap helpers for parsing for DisCo Constant values
Add helpers to parse the DisCo Constant values from ACPI and populate an
array of reg_defaults with these. This will allow drivers to access
these ACPI specified values through the same interface as other
registers that are physically present on the device, using the regmap
cache.

ASoC: SDCA: Add generic regmap SDCA helpers
Add helper functions that SDCA drivers can use to calculate the
properties of SDCA Controls (registers) specified through DisCo.
Most of these are fairly obvious from the SDCA Access Modes.

DisCo Constants, values which are specified in the ACPI rather than on
the device, are handled as unreadable and unwritable registers. The
intention is these will be populated in the register defaults table
allowing drivers to read them normally. This means the drivers can be
agnostic as to which values are DisCo Constants.

Finally, support for SDCA Dual Ranked Controls is currently limited
here, at the moment the current value will be used directly. Writing
the current value directly is valid as per the specification
although the synchronicity of updates across multiple registers is
lost. Support for this will probably need to be added later. But its a
fairly hard problem and doesn't need to be solved immediately.

regcache: Add support for sorting defaults arrays
The defaults array in regcache must be sorted into ascending register
address order, because binary search is used to locate values in
the array. Add a helper to sort the register defaults array which
can be useful for systems that dynamically create a defaults array
based on external information.

ae5fa8ce7e Driver core api addition for 6.14-rc3
Here is a driver core new api for 6.14-rc3 that is being added to allow
platform devices from stop being abused. It adds a new "faux_device"
structure and bus and api to allow almost a straight or simpler
conversion from platform devices that were not really a platform device.
It also comes with a binding for rust, with an example driver in rust
 showing how it's used.

I'm adding this now so that the patches that convert the different
drivers and subsystems can all start flowing into linux-next now through
their different development trees, in time for 6.15-rc1. We have a
number that are already reviewed and tested, but adding those
conversions now doesn't seem right. For now, no one is using this, and
it passes all build tests from 0-day and linux-next, so all should be
 good.

KVM is dependent on the PSP SEV driver and PSP SEV driver needs to be
loaded before KVM module. In case of module loading any dependent
modules are automatically loaded but in case of built-in modules there
is no inherent mechanism available to specify dependencies between
modules and ensure that any dependent modules are loaded implicitly.

Add a new external API interface for PSP module initialization which
allows PSP SEV driver to be loaded explicitly if KVM is built-in.

gpiolib: add gpiod_multi_set_value_cansleep
Merge series from David Lechner <dlechner@baylibre.com>:

This series was inspired by some minor annoyance I have experienced a
few times in recent reviews.

Calling gpiod_set_array_value_cansleep() can be quite verbose due to
having so many parameters. In most cases, we already have a struct
gpio_descs that contains the first 3 parameters so we end up with 3 (or
often even 6) pointer indirections at each call site. Also, people have
a tendency to want to hard-code the first argument instead of using
struct gpio_descs.ndescs, often without checking that ndescs >= the
hard-coded value.

So I'm proposing that we add a gpiod_multi_set_value_cansleep()
function that is a wrapper around gpiod_set_array_value_cansleep()
that has struct gpio_descs as the first parameter to make it a bit
easier to read the code and avoid the hard-coding temptation.

I've just done gpiod_multi_set_value_cansleep() for now since there
were over 10 callers of this one. There aren't as many callers of
the get and atomic variants, but we can add those too if this seems
like a useful thing to do.

Maintainers, if you prefer to have this go through the gpio tree, please
give your Acked-by:. Several maintainers have also requested an
immutable branch, so I expect that will be made available. And if there
is anything leftover after the next kernel release, I will resend it.

0892b84031 Reapply "net: skb: introduce and use a single page frag cache"
This reverts commit 011b033590.

Sabrina reports that the revert may trigger warnings due to intervening
changes, especially the ability to rise MAX_SKB_FRAGS. Let's drop it
and revisit once that part is also ironed out.

35fa2d88ca driver core: add a faux bus for use when a simple device/bus is needed
Many drivers abuse the platform driver/bus system as it provides a
simple way to create and bind a device to a driver-specific set of
probe/release functions. Instead of doing that, and wasting all of the
memory associated with a platform device, here is a "faux" bus that
can be used instead.

1f47ed294a block: cleanup and fix batch completion adding conditions
The conditions for whether or not a request is allowed adding to a
completion batch are a bit hard to read, and they also have a few
issues. One is that ioerror may indeed be a random value on passthrough,
and it's being checked unconditionally of whether or not the given
request is a passthrough request or not.

Rewrite the conditions to be separate for easier reading, and only check
ioerror for non-passthrough requests. This fixes an issue with bio
unmapping on passthrough, where it fails getting added to a batch. This
both leads to suboptimal performance, and may trigger a potential
schedule-under-atomic condition for polled passthrough IO.

e00a2e5d48 drm: Fix DSC BPP increment decoding
Starting with DPCD version 2.0 bits 6:3 of the DP_DSC_BITS_PER_PIXEL_INC
DPCD register contains the NativeYCbCr422_MAX_bpp_DELTA field, which can

applying a mask, do so.

91931af18b gpiolib: add gpiod_multi_set_value_cansleep()
Add a new gpiod_multi_set_value_cansleep() helper function with fewer
parameters than gpiod_set_array_value_cansleep().

Calling gpiod_set_array_value_cansleep() can get quite verbose. In many
cases, the first arguments all come from the same struct gpio_descs, so
having a separate function where we can just pass that cuts down on the
boilerplate.

c195b9c6ab thermal/netlink: Prevent userspace segmentation fault by adjusting UAPI header
The intel-lpmd tool [1], which uses the THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_CPU_CAPABILITY
attribute to receive HFI events from kernel space, encounters a
segmentation fault after commit 1773572863 ("thermal: netlink: Add the
commands and the events for the thresholds").

The issue arises because the THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_CPU_CAPABILITY raw value
was changed while intel_lpmd still uses the old value.

Although intel_lpmd can be updated to check the THERMAL_GENL_VERSION and
use the appropriate THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_CPU_CAPABILITY value, the commit
itself is questionable.

The commit introduced a new element in the middle of enum thermal_genl_attr,
which affects many existing attributes and introduces potential risks
and unnecessary maintenance burdens for userspace thermal netlink event
users.

Solve the issue by moving the newly introduced
THERMAL_GENL_ATTR_TZ_PREV_TEMP attribute to the end of the
enum thermal_genl_attr. This ensures that all existing thermal generic
netlink attributes remain unaffected.

011b033590 Revert "net: skb: introduce and use a single page frag cache"
This reverts commit dbae2b0628 ("net: skb: introduce and use a single
page frag cache"). The intended goal of such change was to counter a
performance regression introduced by commit 3226b158e6 ("net: avoid
32 x truesize under-estimation for tiny skbs").

Unfortunately, the blamed commit introduces another regression for the
virtio_net driver. Such a driver calls napi_alloc_skb() with a tiny
size, so that the whole head frag could fit a 512-byte block.

The single page frag cache uses a 1K fragment for such allocation, and
the additional overhead, under small UDP packets flood, makes the page
allocator a bottleneck.

Thanks to commit bf9f1baa27 ("net: add dedicated kmem_cache for
typical/small skb->head"), this revert does not re-introduce the
original regression. Actually, in the relevant test on top of this
revert, I measure a small but noticeable positive delta, just above
noise level.

The revert itself required some additional mangling due to the
introduction of the SKB_HEAD_ALIGN() helper and local lock infra in the
affected code.
