96a988ffeb CIFS: Fix a possible double locking of mutex during reconnect
With the current code it is possible to lock a mutex twice when
a subsequent reconnects are triggered. On the 1st reconnect we
reconnect sessions and tcons and then persistent file handles.
If the 2nd reconnect happens during the reconnecting of persistent
file handles then the following sequence of calls is observed:

cifs_reopen_file -> SMB2_open -> small_smb2_init -> smb2_reconnect
-> cifs_reopen_persistent_file_handles -> cifs_reopen_file (again!).

So, we are trying to acquire the same cfile->fh_mutex twice which
is wrong. Fix this by moving reconnecting of persistent handles to
the delayed work (smb2_reconnect_server) and submitting this work
every time we reconnect tcon in SMB2 commands handling codepath.

This can also lead to corruption of a temporary file list in
cifs_reopen_persistent_file_handles() because we can recursively
call this function twice.

172ae5b4c8 drm/i915: Fix i915_gem_evict_for_vma (soft-pinning)
Soft-pinning depends upon being able to check for availabilty of an
interval and evict overlapping object from a drm_mm range manager very
quickly. Currently it uses a linear list, and so performance is dire and
not suitable as a general replacement. Worse, the current code will oops
if it tries to evict an active buffer.

It also helps if the routine reports the correct error codes as expected
by its callers and emits a tracepoint upon use.

For posterity since the wrong patch was pushed (i.e. that missed these
key points and had known bugs), this is the changelog that should have
been on commit 506a8e87d8 ("drm/i915: Add soft-pinning API for
execbuffer"):

Userspace can pass in an offset that it presumes the object is located
at. The kernel will then do its utmost to fit the object into that
location. The assumption is that userspace is handling its own object
locations (for example along with full-ppgtt) and that the kernel will
rarely have to make space for the user's requests.

This extends the DRM_IOCTL_I915_GEM_EXECBUFFER2 to do the following:
* if the user supplies a virtual address via the execobject->offset
*and* sets the EXEC_OBJECT_PINNED flag in execobject->flags, then
that object is placed at that offset in the address space selected
by the context specifier in execbuffer.
* the location must be aligned to the GTT page size, 4096 bytes
* as the object is placed exactly as specified, it may be used by this
execbuffer call without relocations pointing to it

It may fail to do so if:
* EINVAL is returned if the object does not have a 4096 byte aligned
  address
* the object conflicts with another pinned object (either pinned by
hardware in that address space, e.g. scanouts in the aliasing ppgtt)
  or within the same batch.
EBUSY is returned if the location is pinned by hardware
EINVAL is returned if the location is already in use by the batch
* EINVAL is returned if the object conflicts with its own alignment (as meets
the hardware requirements) or if the placement of the object does not fit
  within the address space

All other execbuffer errors apply.

Presence of this execbuf extension may be queried by passing
I915_PARAM_HAS_EXEC_SOFTPIN to DRM_IOCTL_I915_GETPARAM and checking for
a reported value of 1 (or greater).

v2: Combine the hole/adjusted-hole ENOSPC checks
v3: More color, more splitting, more blurb.

85fd4f58d7 drm/i915: Mark all non-vma being inserted into the address spaces
We need to distinguish between full i915_vma structs and simple
drm_mm_nodes when considering eviction (i.e. we must be careful not to

c823abac17 net: ep93xx_eth: Do not crash unloading module
When we unload the ep93xx_eth, whether we have opened the network
interface or not, we will either hit a kernel paging request error, or a
simple NULL pointer de-reference because:

- if ep93xx_open has been called, we have created a valid DMA mapping
for ep->descs, when we call ep93xx_stop, we also call
  ep93xx_free_buffers, ep->descs now has a stale value

- if ep93xx_open has not been called, we have a NULL pointer for
ep->descs, so performing any operation against that address just won't
  work

Fix this by adding a NULL pointer check for ep->descs which means that
ep93xx_free_buffers() was able to successfully tear down the descriptors
and free the DMA cookie as well.

7bd509e311 bpf: add prog_digest and expose it via fdinfo/netlink
When loading a BPF program via bpf(2), calculate the digest over
the program's instruction stream and store it in struct bpf_prog's
digest member. This is done at a point in time before any instructions
are rewritten by the verifier. Any unstable map file descriptor
number part of the imm field will be zeroed for the hash.

fdinfo example output for progs:

  # cat /proc/1590/fdinfo/5
  pos: 0
  flags: 02000002
  mnt_id: 11
  prog_type: 1
  prog_jited: 1
  prog_digest: b27e8b06da22707513aa97363dfb11c7c3675d28
  memlock: 4096

When programs are pinned and retrieved by an ELF loader, the loader
can check the program's digest through fdinfo and compare it against
one that was generated over the ELF file's program section to see
if the program needs to be reloaded. Furthermore, this can also be
exposed through other means such as netlink in case of a tc cls/act
dump (or xdp in future), but also through tracepoints or other
facilities to identify the program. Other than that, the digest can
also serve as a base name for the work in progress kallsyms support
of programs. The digest doesn't depend/select the crypto layer, since
we need to keep dependencies to a minimum. iproute2 will get support
for this facility.

8d829bdb97 bpf, cls: consolidate prog deletion path
Commit 18cdb37ebf ("net: sched: do not use tcf_proto 'tp' argument from

remove it from the function as argument to not give a wrong impression. tp
is illegal to access from this callback, since it could already have been

1c0d32fde5 net_sched: gen_estimator: complete rewrite of rate estimators
1) Old code was hard to maintain, due to complex lock chains.
(We probably will be able to remove some kfree_rcu() in callers)

2) Using a single timer to update all estimators does not scale.

3) Code was buggy on 32bit kernel (WRITE_ONCE() on 64bit quantity
is not supposed to work well)

In this rewrite :

- I removed the RB tree that had to be scanned in
gen_estimator_active(). qdisc dumps should be much faster.

- Each estimator has its own timer.

- Estimations are maintained in net_rate_estimator structure,
instead of dirtying the qdisc. Minor, but part of the simplification.

- Reading the estimator uses RCU and a seqcount to provide proper
  support for 32bit kernels.

- We reduce memory need when estimators are not used, since
we store a pointer, instead of the bytes/packets counters.

- xt_rateest_mt() no longer has to grab a spinlock.
(In the future, xt_rateest_tg() could be switched to per cpu counters)

360d9df2ac bnx2x: Prevent tunnel config for 577xx
Only the 578xx adapters are capable of configuring UDP ports for
the purpose of tunnelling - doing the same on 577xx might lead to
a firmware assertion.
We're already not claiming support for any related feature for such
devices, but we also need to prevent the configuration of the UDP
ports to the device in this case.

65870fa77f bnx2x: Correct ringparam estimate when DOWN
Until interface is up [and assuming ringparams weren't explicitly
configured] when queried for the size of its rings bnx2x would
claim they're the maximal size by default.
That is incorrect as by default the maximal number of buffers would
be equally divided between the various rx rings.

This prevents the user from actually setting the number of elements
on each rx ring to be of maximal size prior to transitioning the
interface into up state.

To fix this, make a rough estimation about the number of buffers.
It wouldn't always be accurate, but it would be much better than
current estimation and would allow users to increase number of
buffers during early initialization of the interface.

53e0e11efe CIFS: Fix a possible memory corruption during reconnect
We can not unlock/lock cifs_tcp_ses_lock while walking through ses
and tcon lists because it can corrupt list iterator pointers and
a tcon structure can be released if we don't hold an extra reference.
Fix it by moving a reconnect process to a separate delayed work
and acquiring a reference to every tcon that needs to be reconnected.
Also do not send an echo request on newly established connections.

Check if the returned device from tcf_exts_get_dev function supports tc

The filter hw_device parameter should always be set by fl_hw_replace_filter

005f7e68e7 net: bnx2x: fix improper return value
Macro BNX2X_ALLOC_AND_SET(arr, lbl, func) calls kmalloc() to allocate
memory, and jumps to label "lbl" if the allocation fails. Label "lbl"
first cleans memory and then returns variable rc. Before calling the
macro, the value of variable rc is 0. Because 0 means no error, the
callers of bnx2x_init_firmware() may be misled. This patch fixes the bug,
assigning "-ENOMEM" to rc before calling macro NX2X_ALLOC_AND_SET().

96d5822c1d ipv6: Allow IPv4-mapped address as next-hop
Made kernel accept IPv6 routes with IPv4-mapped address as next-hop.

It is possible to configure IP interfaces with IPv4-mapped addresses, and
one can add IPv6 routes for IPv4-mapped destinations/prefixes, yet prior
to this fix the kernel returned an EINVAL when attempting to add an IPv6
route with an IPv4-mapped address as a nexthop/gateway.

RFC 4798 (a proposed standard RFC) uses IPv4-mapped addresses as nexthops,
thus in order to support that type of address configuration the kernel
needs to allow IPv4-mapped addresses as nexthops.

aecec8b604 ahci: warn about remapped NVMe devices
Some Intel ahci implementations have a completely broken remapping mode
where they hide one or more NVMe devices behind the bar of an AHCI device.

Intel refuses to let the OS reprogram the BIOS to switch out of this
mode at runtime, and so far we're not come up with another good way
to undo the mess that the Chipset people created. So for now the only
thing we can do is to alert users about this situation and switch to the
faster and much saner so called "AHCI" mode insted of the RAID mode in
the BIOS so that the BIOS does not hide the NVMe devices from us.

The sitation is even worse as at least one vendor (thanks a lot Lenovo..)
has started hardcoding their BIOS into the "RAID" mode even for laptops
that don't use AHCI _at all_ and just have a single NVMe device. For now
there is an unspported Linux-only BIOS that undoes this braindamage,
but we'll have to see if things are getting better or worse from here.
