Marvell Wifi PCIe modules don't always behave nicely for PCIe power
management when their firmware hasn't been loaded, particularly after
suspending the PCIe link one or more times. When this happens, we might
end up spinning forever in this status-polling tight loop. Let's make
this less tight by adding a timeout and by sleeping a bit in between
reads, as we do with the other similar loops.
This prevents us from hogging a CPU even in such pathological cases, and
allows the FW initialization to just fail gracefully instead.
I chose the same polling parameters as the earlier loop in this
function, and empirically, I found that this loop never makes it more
than about 12 cycles in a sane FW init sequence. I had no official
information on the actual intended latency for this portion of the
download.

Perf hooks allow hooking user code at perf events. They can be used for
manipulation of BPF maps, taking snapshot and reporting results. In this
patch two perf hook points are introduced: record_start and record_end.
To avoid buggy user actions, a SIGSEGV signal handler is introduced into

an error to help debugging.
A test case for perf hook is introduced.

I have opened a bug against gold

kallsyms generation is not foolproof, due to some linkers adding
symbols (e.g., branch trampolines) when a binary size changes.
Have it attempt a 3rd pass automatically if the kallsyms size changes
in the 2nd pass.
This allows powerpc64 allyesconfig to build without adding another
pass when it's not required.
This can be solved other ways by directing the linker not to add labels
on branch stubs, or to move kallsyms near the end of the image. The
former is undesirable for debugging/tracing, and the latter is a more
significant change that requires more testing and review.

The BAR property bits (0-3 for memory BARs, 0-1 for I/O BARs) are supposed
to be read-only, but we do save them in res->flags and include them when
updating the BAR.
Mask the I/O property bits with ~PCI_BASE_ADDRESS_IO_MASK (0x3) instead of
PCI_REGION_FLAG_MASK (0xf) to make it obvious that we can't corrupt bits
2-3 of I/O addresses.
Use PCI_ROM_ADDRESS_MASK for ROM BARs. This means we'll only check the top
21 bits (instead of the 28 bits we used to check) of a ROM BAR to see if

KVM: s390: Changes for 4.10 (via kvm/next)
Two small optimizations to not do register reloading in
vcpu_put/get, instead do it in the ioctl path. This reduces
the overhead for schedule-intense workload that does not
exit to QEMU. (e.g. KVM guest with eventfd/irqfd that
does a lot of context switching with vhost or iothreads).
Kirill reported that the decode_stacktrace.sh script was broken by the
following commit:
bb5e5ce545 ("x86/dumpstack: Remove kernel text addresses from stack dump")
Fix it by updating the per-line absolute address check to also check for
function-based address lines like the following:
write_sysrq_trigger+0x51/0x60
I didn't remove the check for absolute addresses because it's still
needed for ARM.

btrfs_map_block supports different types of mappings, which to a large
extent resemble block layer operations. But they don't always do, and
currently btrfs dangerously overlays it's own flag over the block layer
flags. This is just asking for a conflict, so introduce a different
map flags enum inside of btrfs instead.

Idle injection drivers such as Intel powerclamp and ACPI PAD drivers use
realtime tasks to take control of CPU then inject idle. There are two
issues with this approach:
1. Low efficiency: injected idle task is treated as busy so sched ticks
do not stop during injected idle period, the result of these
unwanted wakeups can be ~20% loss in power savings.
2. Idle accounting: injected idle time is presented to user as busy.
This patch addresses the issues by introducing a new PF_IDLE flag which
allows any given task to be treated as idle task while the flag is set.
Therefore, idle injection tasks can run through the normal flow of NOHZ
idle enter/exit to get the correct accounting as well as tick stop when
possible.
The implication is that idle task is then no longer limited to PID == 0.
