In presence of a lot of small weight tasks like sched_idle tasks, normal
or high weight tasks can see their ideal runtime (sched_slice) to increase
to hundreds ms whereas it normally stays below sysctl_sched_latency.
2 normal tasks running on a CPU will have a max sched_slice of 12ms
(half of the sched_period). This means that they will make progress
every sysctl_sched_latency period.
If we now add 1000 idle tasks on the CPU, the sched_period becomes
3006 ms and the ideal runtime of the normal tasks becomes 609 ms.
It will even become 1500ms if the idle tasks belongs to an idle cgroup.
This means that the scheduler will look for picking another waiting task
after 609ms running time (1500ms respectively). The idle tasks change
significantly the way the 2 normal tasks interleave their running time
slot whereas they should have a small impact.
Such long sched_slice can delay significantly the release of resources
as the tasks can wait hundreds of ms before the next running slot just
because of idle tasks queued on the rq.
Cap the ideal_runtime to sysctl_sched_latency to make sure that tasks will
regularly make progress and will not be significantly impacted by
idle/background tasks queued on the rq.

Functions used with __setup() return 1 when the argument has been
successfully parsed.
Reverse the returned value so that 1 is returned when kstrtobool() is
successful (i.e. returns 0).
My understanding of these __setup() functions is that returning 1 or 0
does not change much anyway - so this is more of a cleanup than a
functional fix.
I spot it and found it spurious while looking at something else.
Even if the output is not perfect, you'll get the idea with:
$ git grep -B2 -A10 retu.*kstrtobool | grep __setup -B10

If CONFIG_DEFERRED_STRUCT_PAGE_INIT is enabled, memblock_free_pages()
only releases pages to the buddy allocator if they are not in the
deferred range. This is correct for free pages (as defined by
for_each_free_mem_pfn_range_in_zone()) because free pages in the
deferred range will be initialized and released as part of the deferred
init process. memblock_free_pages() is called by memblock_free_late(),
which is used to free reserved ranges after memblock_free_all() has
run. All pages in reserved ranges have been initialized at that point,
and accordingly, those pages are not touched by the deferred init
process. This means that currently, if the pages that
memblock_free_late() intends to release are in the deferred range, they
will never be released to the buddy allocator. They will forever be
reserved.
In addition, memblock_free_pages() calls kmsan_memblock_free_pages(),
which is also correct for free pages but is not correct for reserved
pages. KMSAN metadata for reserved pages is initialized by
kmsan_init_shadow(), which runs shortly before memblock_free_all().
For both of these reasons, memblock_free_pages() should only be called
for free pages, and memblock_free_late() should call __free_pages_core()
directly instead.
One case where this issue can occur in the wild is EFI boot on
x86_64. The x86 EFI code reserves all EFI boot services memory ranges
via memblock_reserve() and frees them later via memblock_free_late()
(efi_reserve_boot_services() and efi_free_boot_services(),
respectively). If any of those ranges happens to fall within the
deferred init range, the pages will not be released and that memory will
be unavailable.

Peek at old qdisc and graft only when deleting a leaf class in the htb,
rather than when deleting the htb itself. Do not peek at the qdisc of the
netdev queue when destroying the htb. The caller may already have grafted a
new qdisc that is not part of the htb structure being destroyed.
This fix resolves two use cases.
1. Using tc to destroy the htb.
- Netdev was being prematurely activated before the htb was fully
destroyed.
2. Using tc to replace the htb with another qdisc (which also leads to
the htb being destroyed).
- Premature netdev activation like previous case. Newly grafted qdisc
was also getting accidentally overwritten when destroying the htb.

mlxbf_gige: add BlueField-3 support
This patch series adds driver logic to the "mlxbf_gige"
Ethernet driver in order to support the third generation
BlueField SoC (BF3). The existing "mlxbf_gige" driver is
extended with BF3-specific logic and run-time decisions
are made by the driver depending on the SoC generation
(BF2 vs. BF3).
The BF3 SoC is similar to BF2 SoC with regards to transmit
and receive packet processing:
* Driver rings usage; consumer & producer indices
* Single queue for receive and transmit
* DMA operation
The differences between BF3 and BF2 SoC are:
* In addition to supporting 1Gbps interface speed, the BF3 SoC
adds support for 10Mbps and 100Mbps interface speeds
* BF3 requires SerDes config logic to support its SGMII interface
* BF3 adds support for "ethtool -s" for interface speed config
* BF3 utilizes different MDIO logic for accessing the
board-level PHY device
Testing
- Successful build of kernel for ARM64, ARM32, X86_64
- Tested ARM64 build on FastModels, Palladium, SoC

The BlueField-3 OOB interface supports 10Mbps, 100Mbps, and 1Gbps speeds.
The external PHY is responsible for autonegotiating the speed with the

to be configured accordingly.

This patch adds initial MDIO support for the BlueField-3
SoC. Separate header files for the BlueField-2 and the
BlueField-3 SoCs have been created. These header files
hold the SoC-specific MDIO macros since the register
offsets and bit fields have changed. Also, in BlueField-3
there is a separate register for writing and reading the
MDIO data. Finally, instead of having "if" statements
everywhere to differentiate between SoC-specific logic,
a mlxbf_gige_mdio_gw_t struct was created for this purpose.

mptcp: userspace pm: create sockets for the right family
Before these patches, the Userspace Path Manager would allow the
creation of subflows with wrong families: taking the one of the MPTCP
socket instead of the provided ones and resulting in the creation of
subflows with likely not the right source and/or destination IPs. It
would also allow the creation of subflows between different families or
not respecting v4/v6-only socket attributes.
Patch 1 lets the userspace PM select the proper family to avoid creating
subflows with the wrong source and/or destination addresses because the
family is not the expected one.
Patch 2 makes sure the userspace PM doesn't allow the userspace to
create subflows for a family that is not allowed.
Patch 3 validates scenarios with a mix of v4 and v6 subflows for the
same MPTCP connection.
These patches fix issues introduced in v5.19 when the userspace path
manager has been introduced.

MPTCP protocol supports having subflows in both IPv4 and IPv6. In Linux,
it is possible to have that if the MPTCP socket has been created with
AF_INET6 family without the IPV6_V6ONLY option.
Here, a new IPv4 subflow is being added to the initial IPv6 connection,
then being removed using Netlink commands.

If an MPTCP socket has been created with AF_INET6 and the IPV6_V6ONLY
option has been set, the userspace PM would allow creating subflows
using IPv4 addresses, e.g. mapped in v6.
The kernel side of userspace PM will also accept creating subflows with
local and remote addresses having different families. Depending on the
subflow socket's family, different behaviours are expected:
- If AF_INET is forced with a v6 address, the kernel will take the last
byte of the IP and try to connect to that: a new subflow is created
but to a non expected address.
- If AF_INET6 is forced with a v4 address, the kernel will try to
connect to a v4 address (v4-mapped-v6). A -EBADF error from the
connect() part is then expected.
It is then required to check the given families can be accepted. This is
done by using a new helper for addresses family matching, taking care of
IPv4 vs IPv4-mapped-IPv6 addresses. This helper will be re-used later by
the in-kernel path-manager to use mixed IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
While at it, a clear error message is now reported if there are some
conflicts with the families that have been passed by the userspace.

Let the caller specify the to-be-created subflow family.
For a given MPTCP socket created with the AF_INET6 family, the current
userspace PM can already ask the kernel to create subflows in v4 and v6.
If "plain" IPv4 addresses are passed to the kernel, they are
automatically mapped in v6 addresses "by accident". This can be
problematic because the userspace will need to pass different addresses,
now the v4-mapped-v6 addresses to destroy this new subflow.
On the other hand, if the MPTCP socket has been created with the AF_INET
family, the command to create a subflow in v6 will be accepted but the
result will not be the one as expected as new subflow will be created in
IPv4 using part of the v6 addresses passed to the kernel: not creating
the expected subflow then.
No functional change intended for the in-kernel PM where an explicit
enforcement is currently in place. This arbitrary enforcement will be
leveraged by other patches in a future version.
