141c939224 drm/lima: fix reference leak in lima_pm_busy
[ Upstream commit de4248b744 ]

pm_runtime_get_sync will increment pm usage counter even it
failed. Forgetting to putting operation will result in a
reference leak here.

A new function pm_runtime_resume_and_get is introduced in
[0] to keep usage counter balanced. So We fix the reference
leak by replacing it with new function.

c377925943 drm/vc4: hdmi: Update the CEC clock divider on HSM rate change
[ Upstream commit 47fa9a8027 ]

As part of the enable sequence we might change the HSM clock rate if the
pixel rate is different than the one we were already dealing with.

On the BCM2835 however, the CEC clock derives from the HSM clock so any
rate change will need to be reflected in the CEC clock divider to output
40kHz.

ecd8c7420e drm/vc4: hdmi: Compute the CEC clock divider from the clock rate
[ Upstream commit 163a3ef681 ]

The CEC clock divider needs to output a frequency of 40kHz from the HSM
rate on the BCM2835. The driver used to have a fixed frequency for it,
but that changed for the BCM2711 and we now need to compute it
dynamically to maintain the proper rate.

b2c22c7446 drm/vc4: hdmi: Restore cec physical address on reconnect
[ Upstream commit 4d8602b8ec ]

Currently we call cec_phys_addr_invalidate on a hotplug deassert.
That may be due to a TV power cycling, or an AVR being switched
on (and switching edid).

This makes CEC unusable since our controller wouldn't have a physical
address anymore.

Set it back up again on the hotplug assert.

22a555e031 drm/vc4: hdmi: Fix register offset with longer CEC messages
[ Upstream commit 4a59ed546c ]

The code prior to 311e305fdb ("drm/vc4: hdmi: Implement a register
layout abstraction") was relying on the fact that the register offset
was incremented by 4 for each readl call. That worked since the register
width is 4 bytes.

However, since that commit the HDMI_READ macro is now taking an enum,
and the offset doesn't increment by 4 but 1 now. Divide the index by 4
to fix this.

e3d5fe8fb6 drm/amd/display: Fix HDMI deep color output for DCE 6-11.
[ Upstream commit efa18405ba ]

This fixes corrupted display output in HDMI deep color
10/12 bpc mode at least as observed on AMD Mullins, DCE-8.3.

It will hopefully also provide fixes for other DCE's up to
DCE-11, assuming those will need similar fixes, but i could
not test that for HDMI due to lack of suitable hw, so viewer
discretion is advised.

dce110_stream_encoder_hdmi_set_stream_attribute() is used for
HDMI setup on all DCE's and is missing color_depth assignment.

dce110_program_pix_clk() is used for pixel clock setup on HDMI
for DCE 6-11, and is missing color_depth assignment.

Additionally some of the underlying Atombios specific encoder
and pixelclock setup functions are missing code which is in
the classic amdgpu kms modesetting path and the in the radeon
kms driver for DCE6/DCE8.

encoder_control_digx_v3() - Was missing setup code wrt. amdgpu
and radeon kms classic drivers. Added here, but untested due to
lack of suitable test hw.

encoder_control_digx_v4() - Added missing setup code.
Successfully tested on AMD mullins / DCE-8.3 with HDMI deep color
output at 10 bpc and 12 bpc.

Note that encoder_control_digx_v5() has proper setup code in place
and is used, e.g., by DCE-11.2, but this code wasn't used for deep
color setup due to the missing cntl.color_depth setup in the calling
function for HDMI.

set_pixel_clock_v5() - Missing setup code wrt. classic amdgpu/radeon
kms. Added here, but untested due to lack of hw.

set_pixel_clock_v6() - Missing setup code added. Successfully tested
on AMD mullins DCE-8.3. This fixes corrupted display output at HDMI
deep color output with 10 bpc or 12 bpc.

3592f930f7 drm/amd/display: Fix 10/12 bpc setup in DCE output bit depth reduction.
[ Upstream commit 1916866dfa ]

In set_clamp(), the comments and definitions for the COLOR_DEPTH_101010
and COLOR_DEPTH_121212 cases directly contradict the code comment which
explains how this should work, whereas the COLOR_DEPTH_888 case
is consistent with the code comments. Comment says the bitmask should
be chosen to align to the top-most 10 or 12 MSB's on a 14 bit bus, but
the implementation contradicts that: 10 bit case sets a mask for 12 bpc
clamping, whereas 12 bit case sets a mask for 14 bpc clamping.

Note that during my limited testing on DCE-8.3 (HDMI deep color)
and DCE-11.2 (DP deep color), this didn't have any obvious ill
effects, neither did fixing it change anything obvious for the
better, so this fix may be inconsequential on DCE, and just
reduce the confusion of innocent bystanders when reading the code
and trying to investigate problems with 10 bpc+ output.

1c95f266a6 drm/sun4i: tcon: fix inverted DCLK polarity
[ Upstream commit 67f4aeb2b4 ]

During commit 88bc417856 ("drm: Use new
DRM_BUS_FLAG_*_(DRIVE|SAMPLE)_(POS|NEG)EDGE flags") DRM_BUS_FLAG_*
macros have been changed to avoid ambiguity but just because of this
ambiguity previous DRM_BUS_FLAG_PIXDATA_(POS/NEG)EDGE were used meaning
_SAMPLE_ not _DRIVE_. This leads to DLCK inversion and need to fix but
instead of swapping phase values, let's adopt an easier approach Maxime
suggested:
It turned out that bit 26 of SUN4I_TCON0_IO_POL_REG is dedicated to
invert DCLK polarity and this makes things really easier than before. So
let's handle DCLK polarity by adding SUN4I_TCON0_IO_POL_DCLK_DRIVE_NEGEDGE
as bit 26 and activating according to bus_flags the same way it is done
for all the other signals polarity.

4f6cd7e77b drm: rcar-du: Fix crash when using LVDS1 clock for CRTC
[ Upstream commit 53ced16937 ]

On D3 and E3 platforms, the LVDS encoder includes a PLL that can
generate a clock for the corresponding CRTC, used even when the CRTC
output to a non-LVDS port. This mechanism is supported by the driver,
but the implementation is broken in dual-link LVDS mode. In that case,
the LVDS1 drm_encoder is skipped, which causes a crash when trying to
access its bridge later on.

Fix this by storing bridge pointers internally instead of retrieving
them from the encoder. The rcar_du_device encoders field isn't used

This is because there is a scenario that a drm_crtc_commit commit is
allocated but not freed. The drm subsystem require/release references
to a CRTC commit by calling drm_crtc_commit_get/put, and when
drm_crtc_commit_put find that commit.ref.refcount is zero, it will
call __drm_crtc_commit_free to free this CRTC commit. Among these
drm_crtc_commit_get/put pairs, there is a drm_crtc_commit_get in
drm_atomic_helper_setup_commit as below:

...
new_crtc_state->event->base.completion = &commit->flip_done;
new_crtc_state->event->base.completion_release = release_crtc_commit;
drm_crtc_commit_get(commit);
...

This reference to the CRTC commit should be released at the function
release_crtc_commit by calling e->completion_release(e->completion) in
drm_send_event_locked. So we need to call drm_send_event_locked at
two places: handling vblank event in the irq handler and the crtc disable
helper. But in zynqmp_disp_crtc_atomic_disable, it only marks the flip
is done and not call drm_crtc_commit_put. This result that the refcount
of this commit is always non-zero and this commit will never be freed.

Since the function drm_crtc_send_vblank_event has operations both sending
a flip_done signal and releasing reference to the CRTC commit, let's use
it instead.

962168c2bc drm/sun4i: Fix H6 HDMI PHY configuration
[ Upstream commit 6a155216c4 ]

As it turns out, vendor HDMI PHY driver for H6 has a pretty big table
of predefined values for various pixel clocks. However, most of them are
not useful/tested because they come from reference driver code. Vendor
PHY driver is concerned with only few of those, namely 27 MHz, 74.25
MHz, 148.5 MHz, 297 MHz and 594 MHz. These are all frequencies for
standard CEA modes.

Fix sun50i_h6_cur_ctr and sun50i_h6_phy_config with the values only for
aforementioned frequencies.

Table sun50i_h6_mpll_cfg doesn't need to be changed because values are
actually frequency dependent and not so much SoC dependent. See i.MX6

[ Upstream commit facd93f428 ]

Commit 0a038c1c29 ("drm/vc4: Move LBM creation out of

allocating the LBM memory for the plane to running mode_set,
adding a gap in the LBM, and then running the dlist allocation filling
that gap.

The gap was introduced by incrementing the dlist array index, but was
never checking whether or not we were over the array length, leading
eventually to memory corruptions if we ever crossed this limit.

vc4_dlist_write had that logic though, and was reallocating a larger
dlist array when reaching the end of the buffer. Let's share the logic

[ Upstream commit 58180a0cc0 ]

[why]
Need to unassign DSC from pipes that are not using it
so other pipes can acquire it. That is needed for
asic's that have unmatching number of DSC engines from
the number of pipes.

[how]
Before acquiring dsc to stream resources, first remove it.

deae1e6365 drm/dp_mst: Don't report ports connected if nothing is attached to them
commit 873e5bb9fb upstream.

Reporting a port as connected if nothing is attached to them leads to
any i2c transactions on this port trying to use an uninitialized i2c

Let's account for this case even if branch devices have no good reason
to report a port as plugged with their peer device type set to 'none'.

5a36371f8b drm/i915/tgl+: Make sure TypeC FIA is powered up when initializing it
commit 2f51312beb upstream.

The TypeC FIA can be powered down if the TC-COLD power state is allowed,
so block the TC-COLD state when initializing the FIA.

Note that this isn't needed on ICL where the FIA is never modular and
which has no generic way to block TC-COLD (except for platforms with a
legacy TypeC port and on those too only via these legacy ports, not via
a DP-alt/TBT port).

bef1f14881 drm/i915: Fix overlay frontbuffer tracking
commit 5feba0e905 upstream.

We don't have a persistent fb holding a reference to the frontbuffer
object, so every time we do the get+put we throw the frontbuffer object
immediately away. And so the next time around we get a pristine
frontbuffer object with bits==0 even for the old vma. This confuses
the frontbuffer tracking code which understandably expects the old
frontbuffer to have the overlay's bit set.

Fix this by hanging on to the frontbuffer reference until the next
flip. And just to make this a bit more clear let's track the frontbuffer
explicitly instead of just grabbing it via the old vma.

The MH PHY vswing table does have all the entries these days. Get
