The log messages from integrity subsystem should be consistent for better
diagnosability and discoverability.
This patch set improves the logging by removing duplicate log formatting
macros, adding a consistent prefix to the log messages, and adding new
log messages where necessary.
The #define for formatting log messages, pr_fmt, is duplicated in the
files under security/integrity.
This change moves the definition to security/integrity/integrity.h and
removes the duplicate definitions in the other files under
security/integrity.
With this change, the messages in the following files will be prefixed
with 'integrity'.
security/integrity/platform_certs/platform_keyring.c
security/integrity/platform_certs/load_powerpc.c
security/integrity/platform_certs/load_uefi.c
security/integrity/iint.c
e.g. "integrity: Error adding keys to platform keyring %s\n"
And the messages in the following file will be prefixed with 'ima'.
security/integrity/ima/ima_mok.c
e.g. "ima: Allocating IMA blacklist keyring.\n"
For the rest of the files under security/integrity, there will be no
change in the message format.

The kbuild Makefile specifies object files for vmlinux in the $(obj-y)
lists. These lists depend on the kernel configuration[1].
The kbuild Makefile for IMA combines the object files for IMA into a
single object file namely ima.o. All the object files for IMA should be
combined into ima.o. But certain object files are being added to their
own $(obj-y). This results in the log messages from those modules getting
prefixed with their respective base file name, instead of "ima". This is
inconsistent with the log messages from the IMA modules that are combined
into ima.o.
This change fixes the above issue.

Commit 2760878662 ("clk: Bail out when calculating phase fails during
clk registration") introduced a check on error values at the time the
clock is registered to bail out when such an error occurs. However, it
doesn't check whether the returned value is positive which will happen
if the driver returns a non-zero phase. Since a phase is usually a
non-zero positive number this ends up returning something that isn't 0
to the caller of __clk_core_init(), making most clks fail to register
if they implement a phase clk op and return anything besides 0 for the
phase.
Fix this by returning the error if phase is less than zero or just
return zero if the phase is a positive number.

As discussed during the original HiSilicon v3xx SPI driver upstreaming,
currently there is no method for the ACPI SPI Serial Bus Connection
Resource Descriptor to define the data buswidth [0], [1].
So we can look to get the ACPI spec updated for this, and I have
submitted a proposal for a new feature here:
https://bugzilla.tianocore.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2557
However I am not sure how successful that will be.
In the meantime, as an alternate approach, this RFC proposes to allow the
SPI controller driver override the device buswidth. In this example,
the driver uses DMI quirks to discover the host machine and set the
buswidth override accordingly when the machine is known to support
dual or quad mode of operation.
I also have included a fix for dual and quad modes in the driver.
Comments welcome. thanks.

There remains no more code in the kernel using pids_ns->proc_mnt,
therefore remove it from the kernel.
The big benefit of this change is that one of the most error prone and
tricky parts of the pid namespace implementation, maintaining kernel
mounts of proc is removed.
In addition removing the unnecessary complexity of the kernel mount
fixes a regression that caused the proc mount options to be ignored.
Now that the initial mount of proc comes from userspace, those mount
options are again honored. This fixes Android's usage of the proc
hidepid option.

The mconsole code only ever accesses proc for the initial pid
namespace. Instead of depending upon the proc_mnt which is
for proc_flush_task have uml create it's own mount of proc
instead.
This allows proc_flush_task to evolve and remove the
need for having a proc_mnt to do it's job.

Currently ACPI firmware description for a SPI device does not have any
method to describe the data buswidth on the board.
So even through the controller and device may support higher modes than
standard SPI, it cannot be assumed that the board does - as such, that
device is limited to standard SPI in such a circumstance.
As a workaround, allow the controller driver supply buswidth override bits,
which are used inform the core code that the controller driver knows the
buswidth supported on that board for that device.
A host controller driver might know this info from DMI tables, for example.

There are nor flashes that are bigger in size than the memory size

would be to add support for regular SPI mode and fall back to it

Inspection of the control flow reveals that mconsole_proc is either
called from mconsole_stop called from mc_work_proc or from

All of the threads that run dispatched by schedule_work are in the

So make the code clearer and by using init_pid_ns instead of

Cleanly handling proc mount options require the internal mount of
proc to be removed (so mount options are not ignored), and quite
possibly multiple proc superblocks per pid namespace (so a
second mount of proc does not silently get the mount options of the
first mount of proc. In either case being able to flush proc
dentries on process exit needs to be made to work without going
through proc_mnt. After serveral discussions this is the set
of changes that work and no one objects to.
---
I have addressed all of the review comments as I understand them,
and fixed the small oversight the kernel test robot was able to
find. (I had failed to initialize the new field pid->inodes).
I did not hear any concerns from the 10,000 foot level last time
so I am assuming this set of changes (baring bugs) is good to go.
Unless some new issues appear my plan is to put this in my tree
and get this into linux-next. Which will give Alexey something
to build his changes on.
I tested this set of changes by running:
(while ls -1 -f /proc > /dev/null ; do :; done ) &
And monitoring the amount of free memory.
With the flushing disabled I saw the used memory in the system grow by
20M before the shrinker would bring it back down to where it started.
With the patch applied I saw the memory usage stay essentially fixed.
So flushing definitely keeps things working better.

("ASoC: dapm: Delay w->power update until the changes are written")
added the new_power member of the widget structure, to differentiate
between the current power state and the target power state, it did not
update the shutdown to use the new_power member.
As new_power has not updated it will be left in the state set by the
last DAPM sequence, ie. 1 for active widgets. So as the DAPM sequence
for the shutdown proceeds it will turn the widgets on (despite them
already being on) rather than turning them off.

When destroying a DMA mmapped object, there is no need to artificially
delay the freeing of the pages to the mmap entry removal. Since the vma
keeps a reference count on these pages, free_pages_exact can be called on
the destroy verb as it won't really free the pages until the reference
count is cleared (in case the user hasn't called munmap yet).
Remove the special handling of DMA pages and call free_pages_exact on
destroy_qp/cq. The mmap entry removal is moved to the beginning of the
destroy flows, so the driver can safely free the pages.

The fact that the LSB in the register is the enable bit should not be an
implicit assumption between the driver and the device, properly document
that in the register definition.

Detect GLK pre-production steppings. Not 100% of A2 being pre-prod
since the spec is a bit of a mess but feels more or less correct.

There are two paths to update qp producer index into hardware now, one
path is doorbell in post verbs (send and recv), the another is mailbox in
modify qp verb which is called by flush process. This will lead the
hardware to be broken to correctly generate flush cqe. With stopping
doorbell update and holding qp spinlock in modify qp during flush process,
the problem can be solved.
