2675f405a6 selftests/perf_events: Add a mmap() correctness test
commit 084d2ac403 upstream.

Exercise various mmap(), munmap() and mremap() invocations, which might
cause a perf buffer mapping to be split or truncated.

To avoid hard coding the perf event and having dependencies on
architectures and configuration options, scan through event types in sysfs
and try to open them. On success, try to mmap() and if that succeeds try to
mmap() the AUX buffer.

In case that no AUX buffer supporting event is found, only test the base
buffer mapping. If no mappable event is found or permissions are not
sufficient, skip the tests.

Reserve a PROT_NONE region for both rb and aux tests to allow testing the
case where mremap unmaps beyond the end of a mapped VMA to prevent it from
unmapping unrelated mappings.

5e0275f888 selftests: rtnetlink.sh: remove esp4_offload after test
[ Upstream commit 5b32321fda ]

The esp4_offload module, loaded during IPsec offload tests, should
be reset to its default settings after testing.
Otherwise, leaving it enabled could unintentionally affect subsequence

4bf7121521 selftests/tracing: Fix false failure of subsystem event test
[ Upstream commit 213879061a ]

The subsystem event test enables all "sched" events and makes sure there's
at least 3 different events in the output. It used to cat the entire trace
file to | wc -l, but on slow machines, that could last a very long time.
To solve that, it was changed to just read the first 100 lines of the
trace file. This can cause false failures as some events repeat so often,
that the 100 lines that are examined could possibly be of only one event.

Instead, create an awk script that looks for 3 different events and will
exit out after it finds them. This will find the 3 events the test looks
for (eventually if it works), and still exit out after the test is
satisfied and not cause slower machines to run forever.

b6b551196f selftests: Fix errno checking in syscall_user_dispatch test
[ Upstream commit b89732c8c8 ]

Successful syscalls don't change errno, so checking errno is wrong
to ensure that a syscall has failed. For example for the following
sequence:

	prctl(PR_SET_SYSCALL_USER_DISPATCH, op, 0x0, 0xff, 0);
	EXPECT_EQ(EINVAL, errno);
	prctl(PR_SET_SYSCALL_USER_DISPATCH, op, 0x0, 0x0, &sel);
	EXPECT_EQ(EINVAL, errno);

only the first syscall may fail and set errno, but the second may succeed
and keep errno intact, and the check will falsely pass.
Or if errno happened to be EINVAL before, even the first check may falsely
pass.

Also use EXPECT/ASSERT consistently. Currently there is an inconsistent mix
without obvious reasons for usage of one or another.

06780dbaa9 selftests/x86: Add a test to detect infinite SIGTRAP handler loop
commit f287822688 upstream.

When FRED is enabled, if the Trap Flag (TF) is set without an external
debugger attached, it can lead to an infinite loop in the SIGTRAP
handler. To avoid this, the software event flag in the augmented SS
must be cleared, ensuring that no single-step trap remains pending when
ERETU completes.

This test checks for that specific scenario—verifying whether the kernel
correctly prevents an infinite SIGTRAP loop in this edge case when FRED
is enabled.

The test should _always_ pass with IDT event delivery, thus no need to
disable the test even when FRED is not enabled.

39044a10d9 selftests/seccomp: fix syscall_restart test for arm compat
[ Upstream commit 797002deed ]

The inconsistencies in the systcall ABI between arm and arm-compat can
can cause a failure in the syscall_restart test due to the logic
attempting to work around the differences. The 'machine' field for an
ARM64 device running in compat mode can report 'armv8l' or 'armv8b'
which matches with the string 'arm' when only examining the first three
characters of the string.

This change adds additional validation to the workaround logic to make
sure we only take the arm path when running natively, not in arm-compat.

ef3a6d3795 selftests/mm: compaction_test: support platform with huge mount of memory
commit ab00ddd802 upstream.

When running mm selftest to verify mm patches, 'compaction_test' case
failed on an x86 server with 1TB memory. And the root cause is that it
has too much free memory than what the test supports.

The test case tries to allocate 100000 huge pages, which is about 200 GB
for that x86 server, and when it succeeds, it expects it's large than 1/3
of 80% of the free memory in system. This logic only works for platform
with 750 GB ( 200 / (1/3) / 80% ) or less free memory, and may raise false
alarm for others.

Fix it by changing the fixed page number to self-adjustable number
according to the real number of free memory.

33f046d7c8 selftests/mincore: Allow read-ahead pages to reach the end of the file
[ Upstream commit 197c1eaa7b ]

When running the mincore_selftest on a system with an XFS file system, it
failed the "check_file_mmap" test case due to the read-ahead pages reaching
the end of the file. The failure log is as below:

   RUN global.check_file_mmap ...
  mincore_selftest.c:264:check_file_mmap:Expected i (1024) < vec_size (1024)
mincore_selftest.c:265:check_file_mmap:Read-ahead pages reached the end of the file
  check_file_mmap: Test failed
           FAIL global.check_file_mmap

This is because the read-ahead window size of the XFS file system on this
machine is 4 MB, which is larger than the size from the #PF address to the
end of the file. As a result, all the pages for this file are populated.

  blockdev --getra /dev/nvme0n1p5
    8192
  blockdev --getbsz /dev/nvme0n1p5
    512

This issue can be fixed by extending the current FILE_SIZE 4MB to a larger
number, but it will still fail if the read-ahead window size of the file
system is larger enough. Additionally, in the real world, read-ahead pages
reaching the end of the file can happen and is an expected behavior.
Therefore, allowing read-ahead pages to reach the end of the file is a
better choice for the "check_file_mmap" test case.

f124c35b4a selftests/mm: generate a temporary mountpoint for cgroup filesystem
[ Upstream commit 9c02223e2d ]

Currently if the filesystem for the cgroups version it wants to use is not
mounted charge_reserved_hugetlb.sh and hugetlb_reparenting_test.sh tests
will attempt to mount it on the hard coded path /dev/cgroup/memory,
deleting that directory when the test finishes. This will fail if there
is not a preexisting directory at that path, and since the directory is
deleted subsequent runs of the test will fail. Instead of relying on this
hard coded directory name use mktemp to generate a temporary directory to
use as a mountpoint, fixing both the assumption and the disruption caused
by deleting a preexisting directory.

This means that if the relevant cgroup filesystem is not already mounted
then we rely on having coreutils (which provides mktemp) installed. I
suspect that many current users are relying on having things automounted
by default, and given that the script relies on bash it's probably not an
unreasonable requirement.

6955fd3a6f landlock: Add the errata interface
commit 15383a0d63 upstream.

Some fixes may require user space to check if they are applied on the
running kernel before using a specific feature. For instance, this
applies when a restriction was previously too restrictive and is now
getting relaxed (e.g. for compatibility reasons). However, non-visible
changes for legitimate use (e.g. security fixes) do not require an
erratum.

Because fixes are backported down to a specific Landlock ABI, we need a
way to avoid cherry-pick conflicts. The solution is to only update a
file related to the lower ABI impacted by this issue. All the ABI files
are then used to create a bitmask of fixes.

The new errata interface is similar to the one used to get the supported
Landlock ABI version, but it returns a bitmask instead because the order
of fixes may not match the order of versions, and not all fixes may
apply to all versions.

The actual errata will come with dedicated commits. The description is
not actually used in the code but serves as documentation.

Create the landlock_abi_version symbol and use its value to check errata
consistency.

Update test_base's create_ruleset_checks_ordering tests and add errata
tests.

This commit is backportable down to the first version of Landlock.

host1 have enabled multipath and
sysctl net.ipv4.fib_multipath_hash_policy = 1:

default proto static src 10.179.20.18
        nexthop via 10.179.2.12 dev ens17f1 weight 1
        nexthop via 10.179.2.140 dev ens17f0 weight 1

When host1 tries to do pmtud from 10.179.20.18/32 to host2,
host1 receives at ens17f1 iface an icmp packet from ro3 that ro3 mtu=1500.
And host1 caches it in nexthop exceptions cache.

Problem is that it is cached only for the iface that has received icmp,
and there is no way that ro3 will send icmp msg to host1 via another path.

Host1 now have this routes to host2:

ip r g 10.10.30.30 sport 30000 dport 443
10.10.30.30 via 10.179.2.12 dev ens17f1 src 10.179.20.18 uid 0
    cache expires 521sec mtu 1500

ip r g 10.10.30.30 sport 30033 dport 443
10.10.30.30 via 10.179.2.140 dev ens17f0 src 10.179.20.18 uid 0
    cache

So when host1 tries again to reach host2 with mtu>1500,
if packet flow is lucky enough to be hashed with oif=ens17f1 its ok,
if oif=ens17f0 it blackholes and still gets icmp msgs from ro3 to ens17f1,
until lucky day when ro3 will send it through another flow to ens17f0.

has two components: one that only sets DSCP and one that sets both DSCP
and ECN.

One of the test triggers PMTU exceptions using ICMP Echo Requests, the
other using UDP packets (to test different handlers in the kernel).

A few adjustments are necessary in the rest of the script to allow
policy routing scenarios:

  * Add global variable rt_table that allows setup_routing_*() to
add routes to a specific routing table. By default rt_table is set
to "main", so existing tests don't need to be modified.

  * Another global variable, policy_mark, is used to define which
dsfield value is used for policy routing. This variable has no
effect on tests that don't use policy routing.

  * The UDP version of the test uses socat. So cleanup() now also need
    to kill socat PIDs.

  * route_get_dst_pmtu_from_exception() and route_get_dst_exception()
now take an optional third argument specifying the dsfield. If
not specified, 0 is used, so existing users don't need to be
    modified.

61e7e18fa6 udp: gso: do not drop small packets when PMTU reduces
[ Upstream commit 235174b2be ]

Commit 4094871db1 ("udp: only do GSO if # of segs > 1") avoided GSO
for small packets. But the kernel currently dismisses GSO requests only
after checking MTU/PMTU on gso_size. This means any packets, regardless
of their payload sizes, could be dropped when PMTU becomes smaller than
requested gso_size. We encountered this issue in production and it
caused a reliability problem that new QUIC connection cannot be
established before PMTU cache expired, while non GSO sockets still
worked fine at the same time.

Ideally, do not check any GSO related constraints when payload size is
smaller than requested gso_size, and return EMSGSIZE instead of EINVAL
on MTU/PMTU check failure to be more specific on the error cause.

dc2144cfef selftests/mount_setattr: Fix failures on 64K PAGE_SIZE kernels
[ Upstream commit f13242a464 ]

Currently the mount_setattr_test fails on machines with a 64K PAGE_SIZE,
with errors such as:

  # RUN mount_setattr_idmapped.invalid_fd_negative ...
mkfs.ext4: No space left on device while writing out and closing file system
  # mount_setattr_test.c:1055:invalid_fd_negative:Expected system("mkfs.ext4 -q /mnt/C/ext4.img") (256) == 0 (0)
  # invalid_fd_negative: Test terminated by assertion
  # FAIL mount_setattr_idmapped.invalid_fd_negative
  not ok 12 mount_setattr_idmapped.invalid_fd_negative

The code creates a 100,000 byte tmpfs:

	ASSERT_EQ(mount("testing", "/mnt", "tmpfs", MS_NOATIME | MS_NODEV,
			"size=100000,mode=700"), 0);

And then a little later creates a 2MB ext4 filesystem in that tmpfs:

	ASSERT_EQ(ftruncate(img_fd, 1024 * 2048), 0);
	ASSERT_EQ(system("mkfs.ext4 -q /mnt/C/ext4.img"), 0);

At first glance it seems like that should never work, after all 2MB is
larger than 100,000 bytes. However the filesystem image doesn't actually
occupy 2MB on "disk" (actually RAM, due to tmpfs). On 4K kernels the
ext4.img uses ~84KB of actual space (according to du), which just fits.

However on 64K PAGE_SIZE kernels the ext4.img takes at least 256KB,
which is too large to fit in the tmpfs, hence the errors.

It seems fraught to rely on the ext4.img taking less space on disk than
the allocated size, so instead create the tmpfs with a size of 2MB. With
that all 21 tests pass on 64K PAGE_SIZE kernels.

To overcome that, commit ba83b3239e ("selftests: vDSO: fix vDSO
symbols lookup for powerpc64") was applied to have selftests also
look for NOTYPE symbols, but the correct fix should be to flag VDSO
entry points as functions.

The original commit that brought VDSO support into powerpc/64 has the
following explanation:

Note that the symbols exposed by the vDSO aren't "normal" function symbols, apps
can't be expected to link against them directly, the vDSO's are both seen
as if they were linked at 0 and the symbols just contain offsets to the
various functions. This is done on purpose to avoid a relocation step
(ppc64 functions normally have descriptors with abs addresses in them).
When glibc uses those functions, it's expected to use it's own trampolines
that know how to reach them.

The descriptors it's talking about are the OPD function descriptors
used on ABI v1 (big endian). But it would be more correct for a text
symbol to have type function, even if there's no function descriptor
for it.

glibc has a special case already for handling the VDSO symbols which
creates a fake opd pointing at the kernel symbol. So changing the VDSO
symbol type to function shouldn't affect that.

For ABI v2, there is no function descriptors and VDSO functions can
safely have function type.

So lets flag VDSO entry points as functions and revert the
selftest change.

cnt times by sendfile.
1. In push/pop tests, they will be invoked cnt times, for the simplicity of
msg_verify_data, change chunk_sz to iov_length
2. Change iov_length in test_send_large from 1024 to 8192. We have pop test
where txmsg_start_pop is 4096. 4096 > 1024, an error will be returned.

ec0b5a3454 selftests/resctrl: Protect against array overrun during iMC config parsing
[ Upstream commit 48ed4e799e ]

The MBM and MBA tests need to discover the event and umask with which to
configure the performance event used to measure read memory bandwidth.
This is done by parsing the
/sys/bus/event_source/devices/uncore_imc_<imc instance>/events/cas_count_read
file for each iMC instance that contains the formatted
output: "event=<event>,umask=<umask>"

Parsing of cas_count_read contents is done by initializing an array of
MAX_TOKENS elements with tokens (deliminated by "=,") from this file.
Remove the unnecessary append of a delimiter to the string needing to be
parsed. Per the strtok() man page: "delimiter bytes at the start or end of
the string are ignored". This has no impact on the token placement within
the array.

After initialization, the actual event and umask is determined by
parsing the tokens directly following the "event" and "umask" tokens
respectively.

Iterating through the array up to index "i < MAX_TOKENS" but then
accessing index "i + 1" risks array overrun during the final iteration.
Avoid array overrun by ensuring that the index used within for
loop will always be valid.

7bed977305 selftests/mm: fix incorrect buffer->mirror size in hmm2 double_map test
[ Upstream commit 76503e1fa1 ]

The hmm2 double_map test was failing due to an incorrect buffer->mirror
size.  The buffer->mirror size was 6, while buffer->ptr size was 6 *
PAGE_SIZE. The test failed because the kernel's copy_to_user function was
attempting to copy a 6 * PAGE_SIZE buffer to buffer->mirror.  Since the
size of buffer->mirror was incorrect, copy_to_user failed.

This patch corrects the buffer->mirror size to 6 * PAGE_SIZE.

56d5ca2ef0 selftests: net: more strict check in net_helper
commit a71d0908e3 upstream.

The helper waiting for a listener port can match any socket whose
hexadecimal representation of source or destination addresses
matches that of the given port.

Additionally, any socket state is accepted.

All the above can let the helper return successfully before the
relevant listener is actually ready, with unexpected results.

So far I could not find any related failure in the netdev CI, but
the next patch is going to make the critical event more easily
reproducible.

Address the issue matching the port hex only vs the relevant socket
field and additionally checking the socket state for TCP sockets.

5bcde9b430 net: Add l3mdev index to flow struct and avoid oif reset for port devices
[ Upstream commit 40867d74c3 ]

The fundamental premise of VRF and l3mdev core code is binding a socket
to a device (l3mdev or netdev with an L3 domain) to indicate L3 scope.
Legacy code resets flowi_oif to the l3mdev losing any original port
device binding. Ben (among others) has demonstrated use cases where the
original port device binding is important and needs to be retained.
This patch handles that by adding a new entry to the common flow struct
that can indicate the l3mdev index for later rule and table matching
avoiding the need to reset flowi_oif.

In addition to allowing more use cases that require port device binds,
this patch brings a few datapath simplications:

1. l3mdev_fib_rule_match is only called when walking fib rules and
always after l3mdev_update_flow. That allows an optimization to bail
early for non-VRF type uses cases when flowi_l3mdev is not set. Also,
only that index needs to be checked for the FIB table id.

2. l3mdev_update_flow can be called with flowi_oif set to a l3mdev
(e.g., VRF) device. By resetting flowi_oif only for this case the
FLOWI_FLAG_SKIP_NH_OIF flag is not longer needed and can be removed,
removing several checks in the datapath. The flowi_iif path can be
simplified to only be called if the it is not loopback (loopback can
not be assigned to an L3 domain) and the l3mdev index is not already
   set.

3. Avoid another device lookup in the output path when the fib lookup
   returns a reject failure.

Note: 2 functional tests for local traffic with reject fib rules are
updated to reflect the new direct failure at FIB lookup time for ping
rather than the failure on packet path. The current code fails like this:

HINT: Fails since address on vrf device is out of device scope
    COMMAND: ip netns exec ns-A ping -c1 -w1 -I eth1 172.16.3.1
ping: Warning: source address might be selected on device other than: eth1
    PING 172.16.3.1 (172.16.3.1) from 172.16.3.1 eth1: 56(84) bytes of data.

    --- 172.16.3.1 ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 0ms

where the test now directly fails:

HINT: Fails since address on vrf device is out of device scope
    COMMAND: ip netns exec ns-A ping -c1 -w1 -I eth1 172.16.3.1

ee603aae24 ktest.pl: Avoid false positives with grub2 skip regex
[ Upstream commit 2351e8c654 ]

Some distros have grub2 config files with the lines

    if [ x"${feature_menuentry_id}" = xy ]; then
      menuentry_id_option="--id"
    else
      menuentry_id_option=""
    fi

which match the skip regex defined for grub2 in get_grub_index():

    $skip = '^\s*menuentry';

These false positives cause the grub number to be higher than it
should be, and the wrong kernel can end up booting.

Grub documents the menuentry command with whitespace between it and the
title, so make the skip regex reflect this.
