7c7839e0f6 HID: debug: fix the ring buffer implementation
commit 13054abbaa upstream.

Ring buffer implementation in hid_debug_event() and hid_debug_events_read()
is strange allowing lost or corrupted data. After commit 717adfdaf1
("HID: debug: check length before copy_to_user()") it is possible to enter
an infinite loop in hid_debug_events_read() by providing 0 as count, this
locks up a system. Fix this by rewriting the ring buffer implementation
with kfifo and simplify the code.

This fixes CVE-2019-3819.

9e23e2c553 HID: debug: improve hid_debug_event()
commit 92529623d2 upstream.

The code in hid_debug_event() causes horrible code generation. First,
we do a strlen() call for every byte we copy (we're doing a store to
global memory, so gcc has no way of proving that strlen(buf) doesn't
change). Second, since both i, list->tail and HID_DEBUG_BUFSIZE have
signed type, the modulo computation has to take into account the
possibility that list->tail+i is negative, so it's not just a simple
and.

Fix the former by simply not doing strlen() at all (we have to load
buf[i] anyway, so testing it is almost free) and the latter by
changing i to unsigned. This cuts 29% (69 bytes) of the size of the
function.

f9d19815c8 HID: debug: fix error handling in hid_debug_events_read()
commit 8fec02a73e upstream.

In the unlikely case of hdev vanishing while hid_debug_events_read() was
sleeping, we can't really break out of the case switch as with other cases,
as on the way out we'll try to remove ourselves from the hdev waitqueue.

Fix this by taking a shortcut exit path and avoiding cleanup that doesn't
make sense in case hdev doesn't exist any more anyway.

7eb5a74e5c HID: uhid: forbid UHID_CREATE under KERNEL_DS or elevated privileges
commit 8c01db7619 upstream.

When a UHID_CREATE command is written to the uhid char device, a
copy_from_user() is done from a user pointer embedded in the command.
When the address limit is KERNEL_DS, e.g. as is the case during
sys_sendfile(), this can read from kernel memory. Alternatively,
information can be leaked from a setuid binary that is tricked to write
to the file descriptor. Therefore, forbid UHID_CREATE in these cases.

No other commands in uhid_char_write() are affected by this bug and
UHID_CREATE is marked as "obsolete", so apply the restriction to
UHID_CREATE only rather than to uhid_char_write() entirely.

Thanks to Dmitry Vyukov for adding uhid definitions to syzkaller and to
Jann Horn for commit 9da3f2b740 ("x86/fault: BUG() when uaccess
helpers fault on kernel addresses"), allowing this bug to be found.

ab77f8541e iio/hid-sensors: Fix IIO_CHAN_INFO_RAW returning wrong values for signed numbers
commit 0145b50566 upstream.

Before this commit sensor_hub_input_attr_get_raw_value() failed to take
the signedness of 16 and 8 bit values into account, returning e.g.

1a64527cd1 HID: hiddev: fix potential Spectre v1
commit f11274396a upstream.

uref->usage_index can be indirectly controlled by userspace, hence leading
to a potential exploitation of the Spectre variant 1 vulnerability.

This field is used as an array index by the hiddev_ioctl_usage() function,
when 'cmd' is either HIDIOCGCOLLECTIONINDEX, HIDIOCGUSAGES or
HIDIOCSUSAGES.

For cmd == HIDIOCGCOLLECTIONINDEX case, uref->usage_index is compared to
field->maxusage and then used as an index to dereference field->usage
array. The same thing happens to the cmd == HIDIOC{G,S}USAGES cases, where
uref->usage_index is checked against an array maximum value and then it is
used as an index in an array.

This is a summary of the HIDIOCGCOLLECTIONINDEX case, which matches the
traditional Spectre V1 first load:

	copy_from_user(uref, user_arg, sizeof(*uref))
	if (uref->usage_index >= field->maxusage)
		goto inval;
	i = field->usage[uref->usage_index].collection_index;
	return i;

This patch fixes this by sanitizing field uref->usage_index before using it
to index field->usage (HIDIOCGCOLLECTIONINDEX) or field->value in
HIDIOC{G,S}USAGES arrays, thus, avoiding speculation in the first load.

0a1454acee HID: clamp input to logical range if no null state
commit c3883fe064 upstream.

This patch fixes an issue in drivers/hid/hid-input.c where values
outside of the logical range are not clamped when "null state" bit of
the input control is not set.

This was discussed on the lists [1] and this change stems from the fact
due to the ambiguity of the HID specification it might be appropriate to
follow Microsoft's own interpretation of the specification. As noted in
Microsoft's documentation [2] in the section titled "Required HID usages
for digitizers" it is noted that values reported outside the logical
range "will be considered as invalid data and the value will be changed
to the nearest boundary value (logical min/max)."

This patch fixes an issue where the (1292:4745) Innomedia INNEX
GENESIS/ATARI reports out of range values for its X and Y axis of the
DPad which, due to the null state bit being unset, are forwarded to
userspace as is. Now these values will get clamped to the logical range
before being forwarded to userspace. This device was also used to test
this patch.

This patch expands on commit 3f3752705d ("HID: reject input outside
logical range only if null state is set").

commit 3f3752705d upstream.

This patch fixes an issue in drivers/hid/hid-input.c where USB HID

logical minimum-maximum range. The check should be made according to USB
HID specification 1.11, section 6.2.2.5, p.31. The fix will resolve

21dc0fd20c HID: hiddev: fix potential Spectre v1
commit 4f65245f2d upstream.

uref->field_index, uref->usage_index, finfo.field_index and cinfo.index can be
indirectly controlled by user-space, hence leading to a potential exploitation
of the Spectre variant 1 vulnerability.

This issue was detected with the help of Smatch:

drivers/hid/usbhid/hiddev.c:473 hiddev_ioctl_usage() warn: potential spectre issue 'report->field' (local cap)
drivers/hid/usbhid/hiddev.c:477 hiddev_ioctl_usage() warn: potential spectre issue 'field->usage' (local cap)

drivers/hid/usbhid/hiddev.c:801 hiddev_ioctl() warn: potential spectre issue 'hid->collection' (local cap)

Fix this by sanitizing such structure fields before using them to index
report->field, field->usage and hid->collection

Notice that given that speculation windows are large, the policy is
to kill the speculation on the first load and not worry if it can be
completed with a dependent load/store [1].

94cae1fa65 HID: hidraw: Fix crash on HIDIOCGFEATURE with a destroyed device
commit a955358d54 upstream.

Doing `ioctl(HIDIOCGFEATURE)` in a tight loop on a hidraw device

When a hidraw device is destroyed it sets 0 to `dev->exist`.

The hid descriptor identifies the length and type of subordinate
descriptors for a device. If the received hid descriptor is smaller than
the size of the struct hid_descriptor, it is possible to cause
out-of-bounds.

In addition, if bNumDescriptors of the hid descriptor have an incorrect
value, this can also cause out-of-bounds while approaching hdesc->desc[n].

So check the size of hid descriptor and bNumDescriptors.

e5969f73cd HID: usbhid: quirks for Corsair RGB keyboard & mice (K70R, K95RGB, M65RGB, K70RGB, K65RGB)
commit 282bf1fe6d upstream.

These devices feature multiple interfaces/endpoints: a legacy BIOS/boot
interface (endpoint 0x81), as well as 2 corsair-specific keyboard interfaces
(endpoint 0x82, 0x83 IN/0x03 OUT) and an RGB LED control interface (endpoint
0x84 IN/0x04 OUT)

Because the extra 3 interfaces are not of subclass USB_INTERFACE_SUBCLASS_BOOT,
HID_QUIRK_NOGET is not automatically set on them and a 10s timeout per-endpoint
(30s per device) occurs initialising reports on boot. We configure
HID_QUIRK_NO_INIT_REPORTS for these devices.

Additionally the left-side G1-G18 macro keys on the K95RGB generate output on
the un-opened 0x82/0x83 endpoints which causes the keyboard to stop responding
waiting for this event to be collected. We enable HID_QUIRK_ALWAYS_POLL to
prevent this situation from occurring.

commit c14022bfd2 upstream.

The device which identifies itself as a "USB Keykoard" (no typo)
with VID:PID 1a2c:0027 does not seem to be handling the reports

This results in a "usb_submit_urb(ctrl) failed: -1" message from the

also cause the hang the system.
