a62393d7eb mwifiex: Fix heap overflow in mwifiex_uap_parse_tail_ies()
commit 69ae4f6aac upstream.

A few places in mwifiex_uap_parse_tail_ies() perform memcpy()
unconditionally, which may lead to either buffer overflow or read over
boundary.

This patch addresses the issues by checking the read size and the
destination size at each place more properly. Along with the fixes,
the patch cleans up the code slightly by introducing a temporary
variable for the token size, and unifies the error path with the
standard goto statement.

f287d86856 mwifiex: Abort at too short BSS descriptor element
commit 685c9b7750 upstream.

Currently mwifiex_update_bss_desc_with_ie() implicitly assumes that
the source descriptor entries contain the enough size for each type
and performs copying without checking the source size. This may lead
to read over boundary.

Fix this by putting the source size check in appropriate places.

a24ac7326f mwifiex: Fix possible buffer overflows at parsing bss descriptor
commit 13ec7f10b8 upstream.

mwifiex_update_bss_desc_with_ie() calls memcpy() unconditionally in
a couple places without checking the destination size. Since the
source is given from user-space, this may trigger a heap buffer
overflow.

Fix it by putting the length check before performing memcpy().

This fix addresses CVE-2019-3846.

fd59cd035b pptp: dst_release sk_dst_cache in pptp_sock_destruct
commit 9417d81f4f upstream.

sk_setup_caps() is called to set sk->sk_dst_cache in pptp_connect,
so we have to dst_release(sk->sk_dst_cache) in pptp_sock_destruct,
otherwise, the dst refcnt will leak.

It can be reproduced by this syz log:

  bind$pptp(r1, &(0x7f0000000100)={0x18, 0x2, {0x0, @local}}, 0x1e)
  connect$pptp(r1, &(0x7f0000000000)={0x18, 0x2, {0x3, @remote}}, 0x1e)

Consecutive dmesg warnings will occur:

c28e2bce64 net/mlx4_core: Fix qp mtt size calculation
commit 8511a653e9 upstream.

Calculation of qp mtt size (in function mlx4_RST2INIT_wrapper)

7a437ebe1c net/mlx4_core: Fix locking in SRIOV mode when switching between events and polling
commit c07d27927f upstream.

In procedures mlx4_cmd_use_events() and mlx4_cmd_use_polling(), we need to
guarantee that there are no FW commands in progress on the comm channel
(for VFs) or wrapped FW commands (on the PF) when SRIOV is active.

We do this by also taking the slave_cmd_mutex when SRIOV is active.

This is especially important when switching from event to polling, since we
free the command-context array during the switch. If there are FW commands
in progress (e.g., waiting for a completion event), the completion event
handler will access freed memory.

Since the decision to use comm_wait or comm_poll is taken before grabbing
the event_sem/poll_sem in mlx4_comm_cmd_wait/poll, we must take the
slave_cmd_mutex as well (to guarantee that the decision to use events or
polling and the call to the appropriate cmd function are atomic).

b856c17659 vxlan: test dev->flags & IFF_UP before calling gro_cells_receive()
commit 59cbf56fcd upstream.

Same reasons than the ones explained in commit 4179cb5a4c
("vxlan: test dev->flags & IFF_UP before calling netif_rx()")

netif_rx() or gro_cells_receive() must be called under a strict contract.

At device dismantle phase, core networking clears IFF_UP
and flush_all_backlogs() is called after rcu grace period
to make sure no incoming packet might be in a cpu backlog
and still referencing the device.

A similar protocol is used for gro_cells infrastructure, as
gro_cells_destroy() will be called only after a full rcu
grace period is observed after IFF_UP has been cleared.

Most drivers call netif_rx() from their interrupt handler,
and since the interrupts are disabled at device dismantle,
netif_rx() does not have to check dev->flags & IFF_UP

Virtual drivers do not have this guarantee, and must
therefore make the check themselves.

Otherwise we risk use-after-free and/or crashes.

brcmf_sdio_fromevntchan() was being called on the the data frame

This fixes a major performance regression (due to dropped packets). With

262e473715 net: phy: Micrel KSZ8061: link failure after cable connect
commit 232ba3a51c upstream.

With Micrel KSZ8061 PHY, the link may occasionally not come up after
Ethernet cable connect. The vendor's (Microchip, former Micrel) errata
sheet 80000688A.pdf descripes the problem and possible workarounds in
detail, see below.
The batch implements workaround 1, which permanently fixes the issue.

DESCRIPTION
Link-up may not occur properly when the Ethernet cable is initially
connected. This issue occurs more commonly when the cable is connected
slowly, but it may occur any time a cable is connected. This issue occurs
in the auto-negotiation circuit, and will not occur if auto-negotiation
is disabled (which requires that the two link partners be set to the
same speed and duplex).

END USER IMPLICATIONS
When this issue occurs, link is not established. Subsequent cable
plug/unplaug cycle will not correct the issue.

WORk AROUND
There are four approaches to work around this issue:
1. This issue can be prevented by setting bit 15 in MMD device address 1,
   register 2, prior to connecting the cable or prior to setting the
   Restart Auto-negotiation bit in register 0h. The MMD registers are
   accessed via the indirect access registers Dh and Eh, or via the Micrel
   EthUtil utility as shown here:
   . if using the EthUtil utility (usually with a Micrel KSZ8061
     Evaluation Board), type the following commands:
     > address 1
     > mmd 1
     > iw 2 b61a
   . Alternatively, write the following registers to write to the
     indirect MMD register:
     Write register Dh, data 0001h
     Write register Eh, data 0002h
     Write register Dh, data 4001h
     Write register Eh, data B61Ah
2. The issue can be avoided by disabling auto-negotiation in the KSZ8061,
   either by the strapping option, or by clearing bit 12 in register 0h.
   Care must be taken to ensure that the KSZ8061 and the link partner
   will link with the same speed and duplex. Note that the KSZ8061
   defaults to full-duplex when auto-negotiation is off, but other
   devices may default to half-duplex in the event of failed
   auto-negotiation.
3. The issue can be avoided by connecting the cable prior to powering-up
   or resetting the KSZ8061, and leaving it plugged in thereafter.
4. If the above measures are not taken and the problem occurs, link can
   be recovered by setting the Restart Auto-Negotiation bit in
   register 0h, or by resetting or power cycling the device. Reset may
   be either hardware reset or software reset (register 0h, bit 15).

PLAN
This errata will not be corrected in the future revision.

7ad2ef373b net: stmmac: Fix a race in EEE enable callback
commit 8a7493e58a upstream.

We are saving the status of EEE even before we try to enable it. This
leads to a race with XMIT function that tries to arm EEE timer before we
set it up.

Fix this by only saving the EEE parameters after all operations are
performed with success.

a139501917 team: avoid complex list operations in team_nl_cmd_options_set()
commit 2fdeee2549 upstream.

The current opt_inst_list operations inside team_nl_cmd_options_set()
is too complex to track:

    LIST_HEAD(opt_inst_list);
    nla_for_each_nested(...) {
        list_for_each_entry(opt_inst, &team->option_inst_list, list) {
            if (__team_option_inst_tmp_find(&opt_inst_list, opt_inst))
                continue;
            list_add(&opt_inst->tmp_list, &opt_inst_list);
        }
    }
    team_nl_send_event_options_get(team, &opt_inst_list);

as while we retrieve 'opt_inst' from team->option_inst_list, it could
be added to the local 'opt_inst_list' for multiple times. The
__team_option_inst_tmp_find() doesn't work, as the setter
team_mode_option_set() still calls team->ops.exit() which uses
->tmp_list too in __team_options_change_check().

Simplify the list operations by moving the 'opt_inst_list' and
team_nl_send_event_options_get() into the nla_for_each_nested() loop so
that it can be guranteed that we won't insert a same list entry for
multiple times. Therefore, __team_option_inst_tmp_find() can be removed
too.

52faf09466 vxlan: test dev->flags & IFF_UP before calling netif_rx()
commit 4179cb5a4c upstream.

netif_rx() must be called under a strict contract.

At device dismantle phase, core networking clears IFF_UP
and flush_all_backlogs() is called after rcu grace period
to make sure no incoming packet might be in a cpu backlog
and still referencing the device.

Most drivers call netif_rx() from their interrupt handler,
and since the interrupts are disabled at device dismantle,
netif_rx() does not have to check dev->flags & IFF_UP

Virtual drivers do not have this guarantee, and must
therefore make the check themselves.

Otherwise we risk use-after-free and/or crashes.

Note this patch also fixes a small issue that came
with commit ce6502a8f9 ("vxlan: fix a use after free
in vxlan_encap_bypass"), since the dev->stats.rx_dropped
change was done on the wrong device.

d34ea495d4 can: dev: __can_get_echo_skb(): fix bogous check for non-existing skb by removing it
commit 7b12c8189a upstream.

This patch revert commit 7da11ba5c5
("can: dev: __can_get_echo_skb(): print error message, if trying to echo non existing skb")

After introduction of this change we encountered following new error
message on various i.MX plattforms (flexcan):

| flexcan 53fc8000.can can0: __can_get_echo_skb: BUG! Trying to echo non
| existing skb: can_priv::echo_skb[0]

The introduction of the message was a mistake because
priv->echo_skb[idx] = NULL is a perfectly valid in following case: If
CAN_RAW_LOOPBACK is disabled (setsockopt) in applications, the pkt_type
of the tx skb's given to can_put_echo_skb is set to PACKET_LOOPBACK. In
this case can_put_echo_skb will not set priv->echo_skb[idx]. It is
therefore kept NULL.

As additional argument for revert: The order of check and usage of idx
was changed. idx is used to access an array element before checking it's
boundaries.

0c5d14ec12 net: phy: micrel: ksz9031: reconfigure autoneg after phy autoneg workaround
commit c1a8d0a3ac upstream.

Under some circumstances driver will perform PHY reset in

more when connecting to Netgear 1G switch (link can be recovered sometimes by

commit b866203d87 upstream.

The commit ("net/phy: micrel: Add workaround for bad autoneg") fixes an
autoneg failure case by resetting the hardware. This turns off

figure out it's state during a poll. However if the phy uses only
intterupts, the phy will stall, since interrupts are off. This patch

result a failure to DMA map any of the frags results in a dmesg warning

100897f448 igb: Fix an issue that PME is not enabled during runtime suspend
commit 1fb3a7a75e upstream.

I210 ethernet card doesn't wakeup when a cable gets plugged. It's
because its PME is not set.

Since commit 42eca23021 ("PCI: Don't touch card regs after runtime
suspend D3"), if the PCI state is saved, pci_pm_runtime_suspend() stops
calling pci_finish_runtime_suspend(), which enables the PCI PME.

To fix the issue, let's not to save PCI states when it's runtime
suspend, to let the PCI subsystem enables PME.

commit f7db2beb4c upstream.

Currently variable data0 is not being initialized so a garbage value is
being passed to vxge_hw_vpath_fw_api and this value is being written to
the rts_access_steer_data0 register. There are other occurrances where

e93901426b vxlan: Fix error path in __vxlan_dev_create()
commit 6db9246871 upstream.

When a failure occurs in rtnl_configure_link(), the current code
calls unregister_netdevice() to roll back the earlier call to
register_netdevice(), and jumps to errout, which calls
vxlan_fdb_destroy().

However unregister_netdevice() calls transitively ndo_uninit, which is
vxlan_uninit(), and that already takes care of deleting the default FDB
entry by calling vxlan_fdb_delete_default(). Since the entry added
earlier in __vxlan_dev_create() is exactly the default entry, the
cleanup code in the errout block always leads to double free and thus a
panic.

Besides, since vxlan_fdb_delete_default() always destroys the FDB entry
with notification enabled, the deletion of the default entry is notified
even before the addition was notified.

Instead, move the unregister_netdevice() call after the manual destroy,
which solves both problems.

5133a18f16 net: macb: add missing barriers when reading descriptors
commit 6e0af29806 upstream.

When reading buffer descriptors on RX or on TX completion, an
RX_USED/TX_USED bit is checked first to ensure that the descriptors have
been populated, i.e. the ownership has been transferred. However, there
are no memory barriers to ensure that the data protected by the
RX_USED/TX_USED bit is up-to-date with respect to that bit.

Specifically:

- TX timestamp descriptors may be loaded before ctrl is loaded for the
  TX_USED check, which is racy as the descriptors may be updated between
  the loads, causing old timestamp descriptor data to be used.

- RX ctrl may be loaded before addr is loaded for the RX_USED check,
  which is racy as a new frame may be written between the loads, causing
  old ctrl descriptor data to be used.
  This issue exists for both macb_rx() and gem_rx() variants.

Fix the races by adding DMA read memory barriers on those paths and
reordering the reads in macb_rx().

I have not observed any actual problems in practice caused by these
being missing, though.

058b7c77e5 net: macb: fix dropped RX frames due to a race
commit 8159ecab0d upstream.

Bit RX_USED set to 0 in the address field allows the controller to write
data to the receive buffer descriptor.

The driver does not ensure the ctrl field is ready (cleared) when the
controller sees the RX_USED=0 written by the driver. The ctrl field might
only be cleared after the controller has already updated it according to
a newly received frame, causing the frame to be discarded in gem_rx() due
to unexpected ctrl field contents.

A message is logged when the above scenario occurs:

  macb ff0b0000.ethernet eth0: not whole frame pointed by descriptor

Fix the issue by ensuring that when the controller sees RX_USED=0 the
ctrl field is already cleared.

Under heavy Rx load, observed that the Hw is updating the USED bit

10583ca5a2 team: no need to do team_notify_peers or team_mcast_rejoin when disabling port
commit 5ed9dc9910 upstream.

team_notify_peers() will send ARP and NA to notify peers. team_mcast_rejoin()
will send multicast join group message to notify peers. We should do this when
enabling/changed to a new port. But it doesn't make sense to do it when a port
is disabled.

On the other hand, when we set mcast_rejoin_count to 2, and do a failover,
team_port_disable() will increase mcast_rejoin.count_pending to 2 and then
team_port_enable() will increase mcast_rejoin.count_pending to 4. We will send
4 mcast rejoin messages at latest, which will make user confused. The same
with notify_peers.count.
