commit 746ba11f17 upstream.
Currently rt2x00 devices retransmit the management frames with
incremented sequence number if hardware is assigning the sequence.
This is HW bug fixed already for non-QOS data frames, but it should
be fixed for management frames except beacon.
Without fix retransmitted frames have wrong SN:
AlphaNet_e8:fb:36 Vivotek_52:31:51 Authentication, SN=1648, FN=0, Flags=........C Frame is not being retransmitted 1648 1
AlphaNet_e8:fb:36 Vivotek_52:31:51 Authentication, SN=1649, FN=0, Flags=....R...C Frame is being retransmitted 1649 1
AlphaNet_e8:fb:36 Vivotek_52:31:51 Authentication, SN=1650, FN=0, Flags=....R...C Frame is being retransmitted 1650 1
With the fix SN stays correctly the same:

commit 69ae4f6aac upstream.
A few places in mwifiex_uap_parse_tail_ies() perform memcpy()
unconditionally, which may lead to either buffer overflow or read over
boundary.
This patch addresses the issues by checking the read size and the
destination size at each place more properly. Along with the fixes,
the patch cleans up the code slightly by introducing a temporary
variable for the token size, and unifies the error path with the
standard goto statement.

Currently mwifiex_update_bss_desc_with_ie() implicitly assumes that

brcmf_sdio_fromevntchan() was being called on the the data frame
rather than the software header, causing some frames to be
mischaracterized as on the event channel rather than the data channel.
This fixes a major performance regression (due to dropped packets). With
this patch the download speed jumped from 1Mbit/s back up to 40MBit/s due
to the sheer amount of packets being incorrectly processed.

The QCA4019 hw1.0 firmware 10.4-3.2.1-00050 and 10.4-3.5.3-00053 (and most
likely all other) seem to ignore the WMI_CHAN_FLAG_DFS flag during the
scan. This results in transmission (probe requests) on channels which are
not "available" for transmissions.
Since the firmware is closed source and nothing can be done from our side
to fix the problem in it, the driver has to work around this problem. The
WMI_CHAN_FLAG_PASSIVE seems to be interpreted by the firmware to not
scan actively on a channel unless an AP was detected on it. Simple probe
requests will then be transmitted by the STA on the channel.
ath10k must therefore also use this flag when it queues a radar channel for
scanning. This should reduce the chance of an active scan when the channel
might be "unusable" for transmissions.

Prior to commit 573185cc7e ("mmc: core: Invoke sdio func driver's PM
callbacks from the sdio bus"), the MMC core used to call into the power
management functions of SDIO clients itself and removed the card if the
return code was non-zero. IOW, the mmc handled errors gracefully and didn't
upchain them to the pm core.
Since this change, the mmc core relies on generic power management
functions which treat all errors as a reason to cancel the suspend
immediately. This causes suspend attempts to fail when the libertas
driver is loaded.
To fix this, power down the card explicitly in if_sdio_suspend() when we
know we're about to lose power and return success. Also set a flag in these
cases, and power up the card again in if_sdio_resume().

This is a static checker fix, not something I have tested. The issue
is that on the second iteration through the loop, we jump forward by
le32_to_cpu(auth_req->length) bytes. The problem is that if the length
is more than "buflen" then we end up with a negative "buflen". A
negative buflen is type promoted to a high positive value and the loop
continues but it's accessing beyond the end of the buffer.
I believe the "auth_req->length" comes from the firmware and if the
firmware is malicious or buggy, you're already toasted so the impact of
this bug is probably not very severe.

Applying ++ to a bool is equivalent to setting it true, regardless of
its initial value (bools are not uint1_t). Hence the function

and since the list traversal and bit testing have no side effects,
just return true immediately. Its return value tells if any vif is in

commit 455f3e76cf upstream.
The firmware has a requirement that the P2P_DEVICE address should
be different from the address of the primary interface. When not
specified by user-space, the driver generates the MAC address for
the P2P_DEVICE interface using the MAC address of the primary
interface and setting the locally administered bit. However, the MAC
address of the primary interface may already have that bit set causing
the creation of the P2P_DEVICE interface to fail with -EBUSY. Fix this
by using a random address instead to determine the P2P_DEVICE address.

commit bfa62a52ca upstream.
ENOENT usb error mean "specified interface or endpoint does not exist or
is not enabled". Mark device not present when we encounter this error
similar like we do with ENODEV error.
Otherwise we can have infinite loop in rt2x00usb_work_rxdone(), because
we remove and put again RX entries to the queue infinitely.
We can have similar situation when submit urb will fail all the time
with other error, so we need consider to limit number of entries
processed by rxdone work. But for now, since the patch fixes
reproducible soft lockup issue on single processor systems
and taken ENOENT error meaning, let apply this fix.
Patch adds additional ENOENT check not only in rx kick routine, but
also on other places where we check for ENODEV error.

The length of the data in the received skb is currently passed into
brcmf_fweh_process_event() as packet_len, but this value is not checked.
event_packet should be followed by DATALEN bytes of additional event

DATALEN bytes of additional data, to avoid copying uninitialized memory
into event->data.

In struct ieee80211_tx_info, control.vif pointer and rate_driver_data[0]
falls on the same place, depending on the union usage.
During the whole TX process, the union is referred to as a control struct,
which holds the vif that is later used in the tx flow, especially in order
to derive the used tx power.
Referring direcly to rate_driver_data[0] and assigning a value to it,
overwrites the vif pointer, hence making all later references irrelevant.
Moreover, rate_driver_data[0] isn't used later in the flow in order to
retrieve the channel that it is pointing to.

commit eb045e6e03 upstream.
Use bcast station for all non bufferable frames on AP and AD-HOC.
The host is no longer aware of STAs PS status because of buffer
station offload, so we can't rely on mac80211 to toggle on
IEEE80211_TX_CTL_NO_PS_BUFFER bit.
A possible issue with buffering such frames, beside the obvious spec
violation, is when a station disconnects while in PS but the AP isn't
aware of that. In such scenarios the AP won't be able to send probe
responses or auth frames so the STA won't be able to reconnect and
the AP will have a queue hang.

As the association status changes the driver needs to configure the
hardware. This is done based on information in the "sta" acquired by
ieee80211_find_sta(), which requires the caller to ensure that the "sta"
is valid while its being used; generally by entering an rcu read
section.
But the operations acting on the "sta" has to communicate with the
firmware and may therefor sleep, resulting in the following report:

In order to ensure that the "sta" remains alive (and consistent) for the
duration of bss_info_changed() mutual exclusion has to be ensured with
sta_remove().
This is done by introducing a mutex to cover firmware configuration
changes, which is made to also ensure mutual exclusion between other
operations changing the state or configuration of the firmware. With
this we can drop the rcu read lock.
