30985e3beb stmmac: reset last TSO segment size after device open
[ Upstream commit 45ab4b13e4 ]

The mss variable tracks the last max segment size sent to the TSO
engine. We do not update the hardware as long as we receive skb:s with
the same value in gso_size.

During a network device down/up cycle (mapped to stmmac_release() and
stmmac_open() callbacks) we issue a reset to the hardware and it
forgets the setting for mss. However we did not zero out our mss
variable so the next transmission of a gso packet happens with an
undefined hardware setting.

This triggers a hang in the TSO engine and eventuelly the netdev
watchdog will bark.

80ad5bd1b4 usbnet: fix alignment for frames with no ethernet header
[ Upstream commit a4abd7a80a ]

The qmi_wwan minidriver support a 'raw-ip' mode where frames are
received without any ethernet header. This causes alignment issues
because the skbs allocated by usbnet are "IP aligned".

Fix by allowing minidrivers to disable the additional alignment
offset. This is implemented using a per-device flag, since the same
minidriver also supports 'ethernet' mode.

f3b1f93ed2 ibmvnic: Fix overflowing firmware/hardware TX queue
[ Upstream commit 142c0ac445 ]

Use a counter to track the number of outstanding transmissions sent
that have not received completions. If the counter reaches the maximum
number of queue entries, stop transmissions on that queue. As we receive
more completions from firmware, wake the queue once the counter reaches
an acceptable level.

This patch prevents hardware/firmware TX queue from filling up and
and generating errors. Since incorporating this fix, internal testing
has reported that these firmware errors have stopped.

4a70f07da8 brcmfmac: change driver unbind order of the sdio function devices
commit 5c3de777bd upstream.

unbound from the sdio function devices in the error path.

3671e6728f xen-netfront: avoid crashing on resume after a failure in talk_to_netback()
commit d86b5672b1 upstream.

Unavoidable crashes in netfront_resume() and netback_changed() after a
previous fail in talk_to_netback() (e.g. when we fail to read MAC from

unregister/free for netdev but we don't reset drvdata and we try accessing
it after resume.

Fix the bug by removing the whole xen device completely with
device_unregister(), this guarantees we won't have any calls into netfront

017a499be5 xen-netfront: Improve error handling during initialization
[ Upstream commit e2e004acc7 ]

This fixes a crash when running out of grant refs when creating many
queues across many netdevs.

* If creating queues fails (i.e. there are no grant refs available),
call xenbus_dev_fatal() to ensure that the xenbus device is set to the
closed state.
* If no queues are created, don't call xennet_disconnect_backend as
netdev->real_num_tx_queues will not have been set correctly.
* If setup_netfront() fails, ensure that all the queues created are
cleaned up, not just those that have been set up.
* If any queues were set up and an error occurs, call
xennet_destroy_queues() to clean up the napi context.
* If any fatal error occurs, unregister and destroy the netdev to avoid
leaving around a half setup network device.

6129fd9882 be2net: fix initial MAC setting
[ Upstream commit 4993b39ab0 ]

Recent commit 3439352916 ("be2net: fix MAC addr setting on privileged
BE3 VFs") allows privileged BE3 VFs to set its MAC address during
initialization. Although the initial MAC for such VFs is already
programmed by parent PF the subsequent setting performed by VF is OK,
but in certain cases (after fresh boot) this command in VF can fail.

The MAC should be initialized only when:
1) no MAC is programmed (always except BE3 VFs during first init)
2) programmed MAC is different from requested (e.g. MAC is set when
interface is down). In this case the initial MAC programmed by PF
   needs to be deleted.

The adapter->dev_mac contains MAC address currently programmed in HW so
it should be zeroed when the MAC is deleted from HW and should not be
filled when MAC is set when interface is down in be_mac_addr_set() as
no programming is performed in this case.

Example of failure without the fix (immediately after fresh boot):

# ip link set eth0 up <- eth0 is BE3 PF
be2net 0000:01:00.0 eth0: Link is Up

# echo 1 > /sys/class/net/eth0/device/sriov_numvfs <- Create 1 VF

# ip link set eth8 up <- eth8 is created privileged VF
be2net 0000:01:04.0: opcode 59-1 failed:status 1-76
RTNETLINK answers: Input/output error

# echo 0 > /sys/class/net/eth0/device/sriov_numvfs <- Delete VF

# echo 1 > /sys/class/net/eth0/device/sriov_numvfs <- Create it again
iommu: Removing device 0000:01:04.0 from group 33
...

# ip link set eth8 up
be2net 0000:01:04.0 eth8: Link is Up

Initialization is now OK.

e3a252a992 be2net: fix unicast list filling
[ Upstream commit 6052cd1af8 ]

The adapter->pmac_id[0] item is used for primary MAC address but
this is not true for adapter->uc_list[0] as is assumed in
be_set_uc_list(). There are N UC addresses copied first from net_device
to adapter->uc_list[1..N] and then N UC addresses from
adapter->uc_list[0..N-1] are sent to HW. So the last UC address is never
stored into HW and address 00:00:00:00;00:00 (from uc_list[0]) is used
instead.

introduced be_dev_mac_add & be_uc_mac_add helpers that incorrectly
access adapter->uc_list as an array of bytes instead of an array of
be_eth_addr. Consequently NIC is not filled with valid data so unicast

a97b72427e net: systemport: Pad packet before inserting TSB
[ Upstream commit 38e5a85562 ]

Inserting the TSB means adding an extra 8 bytes in front the of packet
that is going to be used as metadata information by the TDMA engine, but
stripped off, so it does not really help with the packet padding.

For some odd packet sizes that fall below the 60 bytes payload (e.g: ARP)
we can end-up padding them after the TSB insertion, thus making them 64
bytes, but with the TDMA stripping off the first 8 bytes, they could
still be smaller than 64 bytes which is required to ingress the switch.

Fix this by swapping the padding and TSB insertion, guaranteeing that
the packets have the right sizes.

77bc3e95d9 ath10k: fix incorrect txpower set by P2P_DEVICE interface
[ Upstream commit 88407beb1b ]

Ath10k reports the phy capability that supports P2P_DEVICE interface.

When we use the P2P supported wpa_supplicant to start connection, it'll
create two interfaces, one is wlan0 (vdev_id=0) and one is P2P_DEVICE
p2p-dev-wlan0 which is for p2p control channel (vdev_id=1).

ath10k_pci mac vdev create 0 (add interface) type 2 subtype 0
	ath10k_add_interface: vdev_id: 0, txpower: 0, bss_power: 0
	...
ath10k_pci mac vdev create 1 (add interface) type 2 subtype 1
	ath10k_add_interface: vdev_id: 1, txpower: 0, bss_power: 0

And the txpower in per vif bss_conf will only be set to valid tx power when
the interface is assigned with channel_ctx.

But this P2P_DEVICE interface will never be used for any connection, so
that the uninitialized bss_conf.txpower=0 is assinged to the
arvif->txpower when interface created.

Since the txpower configuration is firmware per physical interface.
So the smallest txpower of all vifs will be the one limit the tx power
of the physical device, that causing the low txpower issue on other
active interfaces.

	wlan0: Limiting TX power to 21 (24 - 3) dBm
	ath10k_pci mac vdev_id 0 txpower 21
	ath10k_mac_txpower_recalc: vdev_id: 1, txpower: 0
	ath10k_mac_txpower_recalc: vdev_id: 0, txpower: 21
	ath10k_pci mac txpower 0

This issue only happens when we use the wpa_supplicant that supports
P2P or if we use the iw tool to create the control P2P_DEVICE interface.
