ba6a70adb5 Revert "drm/amd/display: Do not set drr on pipe commit"
commit 360930985e upstream.

This reverts commit e101bf95ea.

Caused a regression:

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, running at 5120x1440@240/VRR, connected to Navi
21 via DisplayPort, blanks and the GPU hangs while starting the Steam
game Assetto Corsa Competizione (via Proton 7.0).

Example dmesg excerpt:

b23c96589f drm/amd/display: Add smu write msg id fail retry process
commit 72105dcfa3 upstream.

A benchmark stress test (12-40 machines x 48hours) found that DCN315 has
cases where DC writes to an indirect register to set the smu clock msg
id, but when we go to read the same indirect register the returned msg
id doesn't match with what we just set it to. So, to fix this retry the
write until the register's value matches with the requested value.

9a9b8596c3 drm/amd/display: register edp_backlight_control() for DCN301
commit 1611917f39 upstream.

As made mention of in commit 099303e9a9 ("drm/amd/display: eDP
intermittent black screen during PnP"), we need to turn off the
display's backlight before powering off an eDP display. Not doing so
will result in undefined behaviour according to the eDP spec. So, set
DCN301's edp_backlight_control() function pointer to
dce110_edp_backlight_control().

433330fb12 drm/radeon: Use RMW accessors for changing LNKCTL
[ Upstream commit 7189576e8a ]

Don't assume that only the driver would be accessing LNKCTL. ASPM policy
changes can trigger write to LNKCTL outside of driver's control. And in
the case of upstream bridge, the driver does not even own the device it's
changing the registers for.

Use RMW capability accessors which do proper locking to avoid losing
concurrent updates to the register value.

fd28ce30b5 drm/amdgpu: avoid integer overflow warning in amdgpu_device_resize_fb_bar()
[ Upstream commit 822130b5e8 ]

On 32-bit architectures comparing a resource against a value larger than
U32_MAX can cause a warning:

drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/amdgpu_device.c:1344:18: error: result of comparison of constant 4294967296 with expression of type 'resource_size_t' (aka 'unsigned int') is always false [-Werror,-Wtautological-constant-out-of-range-compare]

                    ~~~~~~~~~~ ^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As gcc does not warn about this in dead code, add an IS_ENABLED() check at
the start of the function. This will always return success but not actually resize
the BAR on 32-bit architectures without high memory, which is exactly what
we want here, as the driver can fall back to bank switching the VRAM
access.
commit a7c0cad0dc upstream.
We should be checking to see if async flips are supported in
async flipping isn't supported if a plane's framebuffer changes memory
cccfcbb9e5 drm/gma500: Use drm_aperture_remove_conflicting_pci_framebuffers
[ Upstream commit 80e993988b ]
This one nukes all framebuffers, which is a bit much. In reality
gma500 is igpu and never shipped with anything discrete, so there should
not be any difference.
v2: Unfortunately the framebuffer sits outside of the pci bars for
gma500, and so only using the pci helpers won't be enough. Otoh if we
only use non-pci helper, then we don't get the vga handling, and
subsequent refactoring to untangle these special cases won't work.
It's not pretty, but the simplest fix (since gma500 really is the only
quirky pci driver like this we have) is to just have both calls.
v4:
- fix Daniel's S-o-b address
v5:
- add back an S-o-b tag with Daniel's Intel address
3f27451c9f drm/nouveau/disp: fix use-after-free in error handling of nouveau_connector_create
commit 1b254b791d upstream.
We can't simply free the connector after calling drm_connector_init on it.
We need to clean up the drm side first.
It might not fix all regressions from commit 2b5d1c29f6
("drm/nouveau/disp: PIOR DP uses GPIO for HPD, not PMGR AUX interrupts"),
but at least it fixes a memory corruption in error handling related to
that commit.
4bdfe20d85 drm/amd/display: Implement workaround for writing to OTG_PIXEL_RATE_DIV register
commit 74fa4c81aa upstream.
[Why and How]
Current implementation requires FPGA builds to take a different
code path from DCN32 to write to OTG_PIXEL_RATE_DIV. Now that
we have a workaround to write to OTG_PIXEL_RATE_DIV register without
blanking display on hotplug on DCN32, we can allow the code paths for
FPGA to be exactly the same allowing for more consistent
testing.
9c8c2cf9f9 drm/amdgpu: skip fence GFX interrupts disable/enable for S0ix
commit f1740b1ab2 upstream.
GFX v11.0.1 reported fence fallback timer expired issue on
SDMA and GFX rings after S0ix resume. This is generated by
EOP interrupts are disabled when S0ix suspend but fails to
re-enable when resume because of the GFX is in GFXOFF.
to configure the fence driver interrupts for rings that belong to GFX.
