6f505a013c wifi: iwlwifi: empty overflow queue during flush
[ Upstream commit 658939fc68 ]

If a TX queue has no space for new TX frames, the driver will keep
these frames in the overflow queue, and during reclaim flow it
will retry to send the frames from that queue.
But if the reclaim flow was invoked from TX queue flush, we will also
TX these frames, which is wrong as we don't want to TX anything
after flush.
This might also cause assert 0x125F when removing the queue,
saying that the driver removes a non-empty queue
Fix this by TXing the overflow queue's frames only if we are
not in flush queue flow.

e2be4ab86a wifi: iwlwifi: pcie: synchronize IRQs before NAPI
[ Upstream commit 37fb29bd1f ]

When we want to synchronize the NAPI, which was added in
commit 5af2bb3168 ("wifi: iwlwifi: call napi_synchronize()
before freeing rx/tx queues"), we also need to make sure we
can't actually reschedule the NAPI. Yes, this happens while
interrupts are disabled, but interrupts may still be running
or pending. Also call iwl_pcie_synchronize_irqs() to ensure
we won't reschedule the NAPI.

100a75d56b wifi: wfx: fix case where rates are out of order
[ Upstream commit ea2274ab0b ]

When frames are sent over the air, the device always applies the data
rates in descending order. The driver assumed Minstrel also provided
rate in descending order.

However, in some cases, Minstrel can a choose a fallback rate greater
than the primary rate. In this case, the two rates was inverted, the
device try highest rate first and we get many retries.

Since the device always applies rates in descending order, the
workaround is to drop the rate when it higher than its predecessor in
the rate list. Thus [ 4, 5, 3 ] becomes [ 4, 3 ].

This patch has been tested in isolated room with a series of
attenuators. Here are the Minstrel statistics with 80dBm of attenuation:

d5342dafca wifi: ath11k: fix Tx power value during active CAC
[ Upstream commit 77f1ee6fd8 ]

Tx power is fetched from firmware's pdev stats. However, during active
CAC, firmware does not fill the current Tx power and sends the max
initialised value filled during firmware init. If host sends this power
to user space, this is wrong since in certain situations, the Tx power
could be greater than the max allowed by the regulatory. Hence, host
should not be fetching the Tx power during an active CAC.

Fix this issue by returning -EAGAIN error so that user space knows that there's
no valid value available.

e01b3400d6 wifi: ath11k: fix boot failure with one MSI vector
[ Upstream commit 39564b475a ]

Commit 5b32b6dd96 ("ath11k: Remove core PCI references from
PCI common code") breaks with one MSI vector because it moves
affinity setting after IRQ request, see below log:

[ 1417.278835] ath11k_pci 0000:02:00.0: failed to receive control response completion, polling..
[ 1418.302829] ath11k_pci 0000:02:00.0: Service connect timeout
[ 1418.302833] ath11k_pci 0000:02:00.0: failed to connect to HTT: -110
[ 1418.303669] ath11k_pci 0000:02:00.0: failed to start core: -110

The detail is, if do affinity request after IRQ activated,
which is done in request_irq(), kernel caches that request and
returns success directly. Later when a subsequent MHI interrupt is
fired, kernel will do the real affinity setting work, as a result,
changs the MSI vector. However at that time host has configured
old vector to hardware, so host never receives CE or DP interrupts.

Fix it by setting affinity before registering MHI controller
where host is, for the first time, doing IRQ request.

	sizeof(struct ieee80211_rate)

'mvm->nvm_data' is a 'struct iwl_nvm_data', so it is fine.

At the end of this structure, there is the 'channels' flex array.
Each element is of type 'struct ieee80211_channel'.
So only 1 element is allocated in this array.

When doing:
  mvm->nvm_data->bands[0].channels = mvm->nvm_data->channels;
We point at the first element of the 'channels' flex array.
So this is fine.

However, when doing:
  mvm->nvm_data->bands[0].bitrates =
			(void *)((u8 *)mvm->nvm_data->channels + 1);
because of the "(u8 *)" cast, we add only 1 to the address of the beginning
of the flex array.

It is likely that we want point at the 'struct ieee80211_rate' allocated
just after.

Remove the spurious casting so that the pointer arithmetic works as
expected.

c404d39e77 wifi: mwifiex: Fix tlv_buf_left calculation
commit eec679e4ac upstream.

In a TLV encoding scheme, the Length part represents the length after
the header containing the values for type and length. In this case,
`tlv_len` should be:

tlv_len == (sizeof(*tlv_rxba) - 1) - sizeof(tlv_rxba->header) + tlv_bitmap_len

Notice that the `- 1` accounts for the one-element array `bitmap`, which
1-byte size is already included in `sizeof(*tlv_rxba)`.

So, if the above is correct, there is a double-counting of some members
in `struct mwifiex_ie_types_rxba_sync`, when `tlv_buf_left` and `tmp`
are calculated:

968                 tlv_buf_left -= (sizeof(*tlv_rxba) + tlv_len);
969                 tmp = (u8 *)tlv_rxba + tlv_len + sizeof(*tlv_rxba);

in specific, members:

drivers/net/wireless/marvell/mwifiex/fw.h:777
 777         u8 mac[ETH_ALEN];
 778         u8 tid;
 779         u8 reserved;
 780         __le16 seq_num;
 781         __le16 bitmap_len;

This is clearly wrong, and affects the subsequent decoding of data in
`event_buf` through `tlv_rxba`:

970                 tlv_rxba = (struct mwifiex_ie_types_rxba_sync *)tmp;

Fix this by using `sizeof(tlv_rxba->header)` instead of `sizeof(*tlv_rxba)`
in the calculation of `tlv_buf_left` and `tmp`.

This results in the following binary differences before/after changes:

| drivers/net/wireless/marvell/mwifiex/11n_rxreorder.o

which is the total size of the double-counted members in
`struct mwifiex_ie_types_rxba_sync`:

1a51d35ba7 wifi: ath11k: Don't drop tx_status when peer cannot be found
[ Upstream commit 400ece6c7f ]

When a station idles for a long time, hostapd will try to send a QoS Null
frame to the station as "poll". NL80211_CMD_PROBE_CLIENT is used for this
purpose. And the skb will be added to ack_status_frame - waiting for a
completion via ieee80211_report_ack_skb().

But when the peer was already removed before the tx_complete arrives, the
peer will be missing. And when using dev_kfree_skb_any (instead of going
through mac80211), the entry will stay inside ack_status_frames. This IDR
will therefore run full after 8K request were generated for such clients.
At this point, the access point will then just stall and not allow any new
clients because idr_alloc() for ack_status_frame will fail.

ieee80211_free_txskb() on the other hand will (when required) call
ieee80211_report_ack_skb() and make sure that (when required) remove the
entry from the ack_status_frame.

5c8bbb79c7 mt76: mt7921: don't assume adequate headroom for SDIO headers
[ Upstream commit 98c4d0abf5 ]

mt7921_usb_sdio_tx_prepare_skb() calls mt7921_usb_sdio_write_txwi() and
mt7921_skb_add_usb_sdio_hdr(), both of which blindly assume that
adequate headroom will be available in the passed skb. This assumption
typically is satisfied when the skb was allocated in the net core for
transmission via the mt7921 netdev (although even that is only an
optimization and is not strictly guaranteed), but the assumption is
sometimes not satisfied when the skb originated in the receive path of
another netdev and was passed through to the mt7921, such as by the
bridge layer. Blindly prepending bytes to an skb is always wrong.

This commit introduces a call to skb_cow_head() before the call to
mt7921_usb_sdio_write_txwi() in mt7921_usb_sdio_tx_prepare_skb() to
ensure that at least MT_SDIO_TXD_SIZE + MT_SDIO_HDR_SIZE bytes can be
pushed onto the skb.

Without this fix, I can trivially cause kernel panics by bridging an
MT7921AU-based USB 802.11ax interface with an Ethernet interface on an
Intel Atom-based x86 system using its onboard RTL8169 PCI Ethernet
adapter and also on an ARM-based Raspberry Pi 1 using its onboard
SMSC9512 USB Ethernet adapter. Note that the panics do not occur in
every system configuration, as they occur only if the receiving netdev
leaves less headroom in its received skbs than the mt7921 needs for its
SDIO headers.

Here is an example stack trace of this panic on Raspberry Pi OS Lite

The compiler actually complains on:

memmove(pos + ETH_ALEN, &mgmt->u.action.category,
	sizeof(mgmt->u.action.u.tdls_discover_resp));

and it happens because the fortification logic interprets this
as an attempt to overread 1-byte 'u.action.category' member of
'struct ieee80211_mgmt'. To silence this warning, it's enough
to pass an address of 'u.action' itself instead of an address
of its first member.

This also fixes an improper usage of 'sizeof()'. Since 'skb' is
extended with 'sizeof(mgmt->u.action.u.tdls_discover_resp) + 1'
bytes (where 1 is actually 'sizeof(mgmt->u.action.category)'),
I assume that the same number of bytes should be copied.

4c340bfddc wifi: ath9k: protect WMI command response buffer replacement with a lock
[ Upstream commit 454994cfa9 ]

If ath9k_wmi_cmd() has exited with a timeout, it is possible that during
next ath9k_wmi_cmd() call the wmi_rsp callback for previous wmi command
writes to new wmi->cmd_rsp_buf and makes a completion. This results in an
invalid ath9k_wmi_cmd() return value.

Move the replacement of WMI command response buffer and length under
wmi_lock. Note that last_seq_id value is updated there, too.

Thus, the buffer cannot be written to by a belated wmi_rsp callback
because that path is properly rejected by the last_seq_id check.

8ba31f946a wifi: ath9k: fix races between ath9k_wmi_cmd and ath9k_wmi_ctrl_rx
[ Upstream commit b674fb513e ]

Currently, the synchronization between ath9k_wmi_cmd() and
ath9k_wmi_ctrl_rx() is exposed to a race condition which, although being
rather unlikely, can lead to invalid behaviour of ath9k_wmi_cmd().

Consider the following scenario:

CPU0					CPU1

ath9k_wmi_cmd(...)
  mutex_lock(&wmi->op_mutex)
  ath9k_wmi_cmd_issue(...)
  wait_for_completion_timeout(...)
  ---
  timeout
  ---
					/* the callback is being processed
					 * before last_seq_id became zero
					 */
					ath9k_wmi_ctrl_rx(...)
					  spin_lock_irqsave(...)
					  /* wmi->last_seq_id check here
					   * doesn't detect timeout yet
					   */
					  spin_unlock_irqrestore(...)
  /* last_seq_id is zeroed to
   * indicate there was a timeout
   */
  wmi->last_seq_id = 0
  mutex_unlock(&wmi->op_mutex)
  return -ETIMEDOUT

ath9k_wmi_cmd(...)
  mutex_lock(&wmi->op_mutex)
  /* the buffer is replaced with
   * another one
   */
  wmi->cmd_rsp_buf = rsp_buf
  wmi->cmd_rsp_len = rsp_len
  ath9k_wmi_cmd_issue(...)
    spin_lock_irqsave(...)
    spin_unlock_irqrestore(...)
  wait_for_completion_timeout(...)
					/* the continuation of the
					 * callback left after the first
					 * ath9k_wmi_cmd call
					 */
					  ath9k_wmi_rsp_callback(...)
					    /* copying data designated
					     * to already timeouted
					     * WMI command into an
					     * inappropriate wmi_cmd_buf
					     */
					    memcpy(...)
					    complete(&wmi->cmd_wait)
  /* awakened by the bogus callback
   * => invalid return result
   */
  mutex_unlock(&wmi->op_mutex)
  return 0

To fix this, update last_seq_id on timeout path inside ath9k_wmi_cmd()
under the wmi_lock. Move ath9k_wmi_rsp_callback() under wmi_lock inside
ath9k_wmi_ctrl_rx() so that the wmi->cmd_wait can be completed only for
initially designated wmi_cmd call, otherwise the path would be rejected
with last_seq_id check.

54d3fba7d8 wifi: brcmfmac: Fix field-spanning write in brcmf_scan_params_v2_to_v1()
[ Upstream commit 16e455a465 ]

Using brcmfmac with 6.5-rc3 on a brcmfmac43241b4-sdio triggers
a backtrace caused by the following field-spanning warning:

memcpy: detected field-spanning write (size 120) of single field
  "&params_le->channel_list[0]" at
  drivers/net/wireless/broadcom/brcm80211/brcmfmac/cfg80211.c:1072 (size 2)

The driver still works after this warning. The warning was introduced by the
new field-spanning write checks which were enabled recently.

Fix this by replacing the channel_list[1] declaration at the end of
the struct with a flexible array declaration.

Most users of struct brcmf_scan_params_le calculate the size to alloc
using the size of the non flex-array part of the struct + needed extra
space, so they do not care about sizeof(struct brcmf_scan_params_le).

brcmf_notify_escan_complete() however uses the struct on the stack,
expecting there to be room for at least 1 entry in the channel-list
to store the special -1 abort channel-id.

To make this work use an anonymous union with a padding member
added + the actual channel_list flexible array.
