94f80a8ec1 wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: guard against invalid STA ID on removal
[ Upstream commit 17f64517bf ]

Guard against invalid station IDs in iwl_mvm_mld_rm_sta_id as that would
result in out-of-bounds array accesses. This prevents issues should the
driver get into a bad state during error handling.

b83db8e756 wifi: iwlwifi: read txq->read_ptr under lock
[ Upstream commit c2ace63006 ]

If we read txq->read_ptr without lock, we can read the same
value twice, then obtain the lock, and reclaim from there
to two different places, but crucially reclaim the same
entry twice, resulting in the WARN_ONCE() a little later.
Fix that by reading txq->read_ptr under lock.

bd7e8e5f30 wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: return uid from iwl_mvm_build_scan_cmd
[ Upstream commit bada85a3f5 ]

This function is supposed to return a uid on success, and an errno in
failure.
But it currently returns the return value of the specific cmd version
handler, which in turn returns 0 on success and errno otherwise.
This means that on success, iwl_mvm_build_scan_cmd will return 0
regardless if the actual uid.
Fix this by returning the uid if the handler succeeded.

Actually those buffers are used only by QMI target -> host communication.
And for WCN6855 and QCA6390, the largest packet size for that is less
than 6KB. So change buf_len field to 8KB, which results in order 1
allocation if page size is 4KB. In this way, we can at least save some
memory, and as well as decrease the possibility of allocation failure
in those scenarios.

c39e75fae0 wifi: brcmfmac: Add DMI nvram filename quirk for ACEPC W5 Pro
[ Upstream commit 32167707aa ]

The ACEPC W5 Pro HDMI stick contains quite generic names in the sys_vendor

which is both too generic and messy with the $ symbols in the name.

The ACEPC W5 Pro uses the same Ampak AP6255 module as the ACEPC T8

DMI nvram filename quirk to the T8 nvram file.

13fd96c975 wifi: iwlwifi: disable multi rx queue for 9000
[ Upstream commit 29fa9a984b ]

Multi rx queue allows to spread the load of the Rx streams on different
CPUs. 9000 series required complex synchronization mechanisms from the
driver side since the hardware / firmware is not able to provide
information about duplicate packets and timeouts inside the reordering
buffer.

Users have complained that for newer devices, all those synchronization
mechanisms have caused spurious packet drops. Those packet drops
disappeared if we simplify the code, but unfortunately, we can't have
RSS enabled on 9000 series without this complex code.

Remove support for RSS on 9000 so that we can make the code much simpler
for newer devices and fix the bugs for them.

The down side of this patch is a that all the Rx path will be routed to
a single CPU, but this has never been an issue, the modern CPUs are just
fast enough to cope with all the traffic.

8d59a64cbe wifi: brcmfmac: cfg80211: Use WSEC to set SAE password
[ Upstream commit 9f7861c56b ]

Using the WSEC command instead of sae_password seems to be the supported
mechanism on newer firmware, and also how the brcmdhd driver does it.

The existing firmware mechanism intended for (some) Cypress chips has
been separated from the new firmware mechanism using the multi-vendor
framework. Depending on the device it will select the appropriate
firmware mechanism.

This makes WPA3 work with iwd, or with wpa_supplicant pending a support
patchset [2].

Adding a .feat_attach() callback allowing per-vendor overrides
of the driver feature flags. In this patch the callback is only
provided by BCA vendor to disable SAE feature as it has not been
confirmed yet. BCA chips generally do not have the in-driver

190794848e wifi: brcmfmac: Fix use-after-free bug in brcmf_cfg80211_detach
[ Upstream commit 0f7352557a ]

This is the candidate patch of CVE-2023-47233 :
https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2023-47233

In brcm80211 driver,it starts with the following invoking chain
to start init a timeout worker:

->brcmf_usb_probe
  ->brcmf_usb_probe_cb
    ->brcmf_attach
      ->brcmf_bus_started
        ->brcmf_cfg80211_attach
          ->wl_init_priv
            ->brcmf_init_escan
              ->INIT_WORK(&cfg->escan_timeout_work,
		  brcmf_cfg80211_escan_timeout_worker);

If we disconnect the USB by hotplug, it will call
brcmf_usb_disconnect to make cleanup. The invoking chain is :

brcmf_usb_disconnect
  ->brcmf_usb_disconnect_cb
    ->brcmf_detach
      ->brcmf_cfg80211_detach
        ->kfree(cfg);

While the timeout woker may still be running. This will cause
a use-after-free bug on cfg in brcmf_cfg80211_escan_timeout_worker.

Fix it by deleting the timer and canceling the worker in
brcmf_cfg80211_detach.

This is caused by a mistake in the chip initialisation. This version of
the chip requires loading an extra AGC table right after the main one,
but the extra table is being loaded at the wrong time, in

Move the extra AGC table loading to the right place, in

The rtw_chip_board_info_setup() can only do "software" things, and

0f7bdcbb0f wifi: wilc1000: revert reset line logic flip
[ Upstream commit f3ec643947 ]

This reverts commit fcf690b0b4.

When using a wilc1000 chip over a spi bus, users can optionally define a
reset gpio and a chip enable gpio. The reset line of wilc1000 is active
low, so to hold the chip in reset, a low (physical) value must be applied.

The corresponding device tree binding documentation was introduced by
commit f31ee3c0a5 ("wilc1000: Document enable-gpios and reset-gpios
properties") and correctly indicates that the reset line is an active-low
signal. The corresponding driver part, brought by commit ec031ac479
("wilc1000: Add reset/enable GPIO support to SPI driver") was applying the
correct logic. But commit fcf690b0b4 ("wifi: wilc1000: use correct
sequence of RESET for chip Power-UP/Down") eventually flipped this logic
and started misusing the gpiod APIs, applying an inverted logic when
powering up/down the chip (for example, setting the reset line to a logic
"1" during power up, which in fact asserts the reset line when device tree
describes the reset line as GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW). As a consequence, any
platform currently using the driver in SPI mode must use a faulty reset
line description in device tree, or else chip will be maintained in reset
and will not even allow to bring up the chip.

Fix reset line usage by inverting back the gpiod APIs usage, setting the
reset line to the logic value "0" when powering the chip, and the logic
value "1" when powering off the chip.

An old cleanup went a little too far and causes a warning with clang-16
and higher as it breaks control flow integrity (KCFI) rules:

drivers/net/wireless/broadcom/brcm80211/brcmsmac/phy_shim.c:64:34: error: cast from 'void (*)(struct brcms_phy *)' to 'void (*)(void *)' converts to incompatible function type [-Werror,-Wcast-function-type-strict]
   64 |                         brcms_init_timer(physhim->wl, (void (*)(void *))fn,
      |                                                       ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Change this one instance back to passing a void pointer so it can be
used with the timer callback interface.

David Mosberger-Tan initial investigation [1] showed that this
use-after-free is due to netdevice unregistration during vif list
traversal. When unregistering a net device, since the needs_free_netdev has
been set to true during registration, the netdevice object is also freed,
and as a consequence, the corresponding vif object too, since it is
attached to it as private netdevice data. The next occurrence of the loop
then tries to access freed vif pointer to the list to move forward in the
list.

Fix this use-after-free thanks to two mechanisms:
- navigate in the list with list_for_each_entry_safe, which allows to
  safely modify the list as we go through each element. For each element,
  remove it from the list with list_del_rcu
- make sure to wait for RCU grace period end after each vif removal to make
  sure it is safe to free the corresponding vif too (through
  unregister_netdev)

Since we are in a RCU "modifier" path (not a "reader" path), and because
such path is expected not to be concurrent to any other modifier (we are
using the vif_mutex lock), we do not need to use RCU list API, that's why
we can benefit from list_for_each_entry_safe.

85074e3394 wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: don't set replay counters to 0xff
[ Upstream commit d5bd4041cd ]

The firmware (later) actually uses the values even for keys
that are invalid as far as the host is concerned, later in
rekeying, and then only sets the low 48 bits since the PNs
are only 48 bits over the air. It does, however, compare the
full 64 bits later, obviously causing problems.

Remove the memset and use kzalloc instead to avoid any old
heap data leaking to the firmware. We already init all the
other fields in the struct anyway. This leaves the data set
to zero for any unused fields, so the firmware can look at
them safely even if they're not used right now.

67e7b24a70 wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix erroneous queue index mask
[ Upstream commit 2e0e766bd8 ]

When retrieving the queue index ("SCD SSN") from the TX response,
it's currently masked with 0xFFF. However, now that we have queues
longer than 4k, that became wrong, so make the mask depend on the
hardware family.

This fixes an issue where if we get a single frame reclaim while
in the top half of an 8k long queue, we'd reclaim-wrap the queue
twice (once on this and then again on the next non-single reclaim)
which at least triggers the WARN_ON_ONCE() in iwl_txq_reclaim(),
but could have other negative side effects (such as unmapping a
frame that wasn't transmitted yet, and then taking an IOMMU fault)
as well.

75f1048672 wifi: ath12k: fix incorrect logic of calculating vdev_stats_id
[ Upstream commit 019b58dcb6 ]

During calculate vdev_stats_id, will compare vdev_stats_id with
ATH12K_INVAL_VDEV_STATS_ID by '<='. If vdev_stats_id is relatively
small, then assign ATH12K_INVAL_VDEV_STATS_ID to vdev_stats_id.

This logic is incorrect. Firstly, should use '>=' instead of '<=' to
check if this u8 variable exceeds the max valid range.

Secondly, should use the maximum value as comparison value.

Correct comparison symbols and use the maximum value
ATH12K_MAX_VDEV_STATS_ID for comparison.
