36ec3f4372There are existing uses for a devres version of of_regulator_get_optional() in power domain drivers. On MediaTek platforms, power domains may have regulator supplies tied to them. The driver currently tries to use devm_regulator_get() to not have to manage the lifecycle, but ends up doing it in a very hacky way by replacing the device node of the power domain controller device to the device node of the power domain that is currently being registered, getting the supply, and reverting the device node. Provide a better API so that the hack can be replaced. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
