Currently, the uvc gadget driver allocates all uvc_requests as one array and deallocates them all when the video stream stops. This includes de-allocating all the usb_requests associated with those uvc_requests. This can lead to use-after-free issues if any of those de-allocated usb_requests were still owned by the usb controller. This patch is 1 of 2 patches addressing the use-after-free issue. Instead of bulk allocating all uvc_requests as an array, this patch allocates uvc_requests one at a time, which should allows for similar granularity when deallocating the uvc_requests. This patch has no functional changes other than allocating each uvc_request separately, and similarly freeing each of them separately. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
