Service, command, and owner IDs are all part of qcom_scm_desc struct and have no special reason to be a function argument (or hard-coded in the case of owner [1]). Moving them to be part of qcom_scm_desc struct improves readability. [1]: Example of SCM function using owner vale other than hard-coded SIP value: https://source.codeaurora.org/quic/la/kernel/msm-4.9/tree/drivers/soc/qcom/smcinvoke.c?h=kernel.lnx.4.9.r28-rel#n35 Tested-by: Brian Masney <masneyb@onstation.org> # arm32 Tested-by: Stephan Gerhold <stephan@gerhold.net> Signed-off-by: Elliot Berman <eberman@codeaurora.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1578431066-19600-6-git-send-email-eberman@codeaurora.org Signed-off-by: Bjorn Andersson <bjorn.andersson@linaro.org> |

Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
