Add an ioctl which allows reading fs-verity metadata from a file. This is useful when a file with fs-verity enabled needs to be served somewhere, and the other end wants to do its own fs-verity compatible verification of the file. See the commit messages for details. This new ioctl has been tested using new xfstests I've written for it. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iIoEABYIADIWIQSacvsUNc7UX4ntmEPzXCl4vpKOKwUCYCv/2hQcZWJpZ2dlcnNA Z29vZ2xlLmNvbQAKCRDzXCl4vpKOK6/7AQDRmmnV+G34yGPCWfu8tyjdYvWPyak2 IA/I+eM6S/F+4QEAkbX6rOwYVhLHN9KSOYyNhJiBchm6xq83J+R8BYh/Kw0= =FPNK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'fsverity-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/fs/fscrypt/fscrypt Pull fsverity updates from Eric Biggers: "Add an ioctl which allows reading fs-verity metadata from a file. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
