Commit 0ba2aeb6da increased the internal control ranges
to 64 bit, but that caused problems in drivers that use the minimum/maximum/step/default_value
control values in a division or modulus operations since not all architectures support
those natively.
Luckily, in almost all cases it is possible to just cast to 32 bits (the control value
is known to be 32 bits, so it is safe to cast). Only in v4l2-ctrls.c was it necessary to
use do_div in one function.

This patch solves the issue in the same manner as x86_32, by moving the

The global motion detection works fine, but the regional motion detection

When setting a control the control's new value is compared to the current
value twice: once by new_to_cur(), once by cluster_changed(). Not a big
deal when dealing with simple values, but it can be a problem when dealing
with compound types or arrays. So fix this: cluster_changed() sets the
has_changed flag, which is used by new_to_cur() instead of having to do
another compare.

In order to implement array support and (for the future) configuration stores
we need to have more generic copy routines that all operate on the v4l2_ctrl_ptr
union. So instead of e.g. using ctrl->cur.string it uses ptr.p_char. This makes
e.g. cur_to_user generic so it can be used to copy any v4l2_ctrl_ptr value to
userspace, not just the (hardcoded) current value.

Since compound controls can have non-standard types we need to be able to do
type-specific checks etc. In order to make that easy type operations are added.
There are four operations:
- equal: check if two values are equal
- init: initialize a value
- log: log the value
- validate: validate a new value
The v4l2_ctrl struct adds p_new and p_cur unions at the end of the struct.
This union provides a standard way of accessing control types through a pointer,
which greatly simplifies internal control processing.

ftrace_stop() and ftrace_start() were added to the suspend and hibernate
process because there was some function within the work flow that caused
the system to reboot if it was traced. This function has recently been
found (restore_processor_state()). Now there's no reason to disable
function tracing while we are going into suspend or hibernate, which means
that being able to trace this will help tremendously in debugging any
issues with suspend or hibernate.
This also means that the ftrace_stop/start() functions can be removed
and simplify the function tracing code a bit.

ftrace_stop() is used to stop function tracing during suspend and resume
which removes a lot of possible debugging opportunities with tracing.
The reason was that some function in the resume path was causing a triple
fault if it were to be traced. The issue I found was that doing something
as simple as calling smp_processor_id() would reboot the box!
When function tracing was first created I didn't have a good way to figure
out what function was having issues, or it looked to be multiple ones. To
fix it, we just created a big hammer approach to the problem which was to
add a flag in the mcount trampoline that could be checked and not call
the traced functions.
Lately I developed better ways to find problem functions and I can bisect
down to see what function is causing the issue. I removed the flag that
stopped tracing and proceeded to find the problem function and it ended
up being restore_processor_state(). This function makes sense as when the
CPU comes back online from a suspend it calls this function to set up
registers, amongst them the GS register, which stores things such as
what CPU the processor is (if you call smp_processor_id() without this
set up properly, it would fault).
By making restore_processor_state() notrace, the system can suspend and
resume without the need of the big hammer tracing to stop.

done by the function trampoline when only the function graph tracer

As the function graph tracer trampoline in x86 is dependent from
the function trampoline, we can call it directly when a function
is only being traced by the function graph trampoline.

that are left in an unknown state when booting the kernel.
In this case the IP block which has not masked its interrupt and has no
driver loaded (either because it is not compiled or because it is not
loaded yet) might generate spurious interrupts when another IP block
request the shared irq.
A good example of this case is the RTC block on which register configs are
kept even after a shutdown (if a proper VDDcore is supplied), and thus
