24fa5af810 soc/tegra: fuse: Set up in early initcall
Rather than rely on explicit initialization order called from SoC setup
code, use a plain initcall and rely on initcall ordering to take care of
dependencies.

This driver exposes some functionality (querying the chip ID) needed at
very early stages of the boot process. An early initcall is good enough
provided that some of the dependencies are deferred to later stages. To
make sure any abuses are easily caught, output a warning message if the
chip ID is queried while it can't be read yet.

c090e11163 ARM: tegra: Always lock the CPU reset vector
Currently the reset vector is not locked on Tegra20 because the hardware
doesn't support it. However in order not to depend on the chip ID, which
becomes available only later in the boot process, we set the bit anyway.

05ccf19602 ARM: tegra: Setup CPU hotplug in a pure initcall
CPU hotplug support doesn't have to be set up until fairly late in the
boot process, so it can be done in a regular initcall. To make sure that
we don't miss any ordering problems in the future, output a warning if
any of the functions are called before initialization has completed.

This is part of untangling the boot order dependencies on Tegra so that
more code can be shared between 32-bit and 64-bit ARM.

a2686766c8 soc/tegra: Implement runtime check for Tegra SoCs
Subsequent patches will move some of the initialization code from SoC
setup code to regular initcalls. To prevent breakage on other SoCs in
multi-platform builds, these initcalls need to check that they indeed
run on Tegra.

963fee1656 KVM: nVMX: Fix virtual interrupt delivery injection
This patch fix bug reported in https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73331,
after the patch http://www.spinics.net/lists/kvm/msg105230.html applied, there is
some progress and the L2 can boot up, however, slowly. The original idea of this
fix vid injection patch is from "Zhang, Yang Z" <yang.z.zhang@intel.com>.

Interrupt which delivered by vid should be injected to L1 by L0 if current is in
L1, or should be injected to L2 by L0 through the old injection way if L1 doesn't
have set External-interrupt exiting bit. The current logic doen't consider these
cases. This patch fix it by vid intr to L1 if current is L1 or L2 through old

e7cafc4525 Bluetooth: Pass initiator/acceptor information to hci_conn_security()
We're interested in whether an authentication request is because of a
remote or local action. So far hci_conn_security() has been used both
for incoming and outgoing actions (e.g. RFCOMM or L2CAP connect
requests) so without some modifications it cannot know which peer is
responsible for requesting authentication.

This patch adds a new "bool initiator" parameter to hci_conn_security()
to indicate which side is responsible for the request and updates the
current users to pass this information correspondingly.

92c14bd947 cpufreq: move policy kobj to policy->cpu at resume
This is only relevant to implementations with multiple clusters, where clusters
have separate clock lines but all CPUs within a cluster share it.

Consider a dual cluster platform with 2 cores per cluster. During suspend we
start hot unplugging CPUs in order 1 to 3. When CPU2 is removed, policy->kobj
would be moved to CPU3 and when CPU3 goes down we wouldn't free policy or its
kobj as we want to retain permissions/values/etc.

Now on resume, we will get CPU2 before CPU3 and will call __cpufreq_add_dev().
We will recover the old policy and update policy->cpu from 3 to 2 from
update_policy_cpu().

But the kobj is still tied to CPU3 and isn't moved to CPU2. We wouldn't create a
link for CPU2, but would try that for CPU3 while bringing it online. Which will
report errors as CPU3 already has kobj assigned to it.

This bug got introduced with commit 42f921a, which overlooked this scenario.

To fix this, lets move kobj to the new policy->cpu while bringing first CPU of a
cluster back. Also do a WARN_ON() if kobject_move failed, as we would reach here
only for the first CPU of a non-boot cluster. And we can't recover from this
situation, if kobject_move() fails.

3a6bfbc91d arch, locking: Ciao arch_mutex_cpu_relax()
The arch_mutex_cpu_relax() function, introduced by 34b133f, is
hacky and ugly. It was added a few years ago to address the fact
that common cpu_relax() calls include yielding on s390, and thus
impact the optimistic spinning functionality of mutexes. Nowadays
we use this function well beyond mutexes: rwsem, qrwlock, mcs and
lockref. Since the macro that defines the call is in the mutex header,
any users must include mutex.h and the naming is misleading as well.

This patch (i) renames the call to cpu_relax_lowlatency ("relax, but
only if you can do it with very low latency") and (ii) defines it in
each arch's asm/processor.h local header, just like for regular cpu_relax
functions. On all archs, except s390, cpu_relax_lowlatency is simply cpu_relax,
and thus we can take it out of mutex.h. While this can seem redundant,
I believe it is a good choice as it allows us to move out arch specific
logic from generic locking primitives and enables future(?) archs to
transparently define it, similarly to System Z.

290025d9ff i2c: exynos5: remove extra line and fix an assignment
This patch does the following in exynos5_i2c_message_start() function
1. Fixes an assignment
As, "i2c_auto_conf" is initialized to '0' at the beginning of the
   function and HSI2C_READ_WRITE is defined as (1u << 16)

Using "|=" for the first assignment is more readable.

Intel Wired LAN Driver Updates 2014-07-16

This series contains updates to i40e only.

Neerav adds support to get the port MAC address from firmware and adds
support to the ndo_get_phys_port_id() callback to provide port specific
unique ids to the netdev layer.

Jakub Kicinski provides 2 fixes, first fixes i40e to never generate a software
time stamp if the hardware time stamp is provided. Second fixes a race
condition on queueing skb for hardware time by using a simple bit lock to
avoid race conditions and leaking skbs when multiple transmit rings try
to claim time stamping.

Paul does some general cleanup of the driver to remove unneeded spaces,
comments that are no longer valid, and break that will never get touched.

Jacob Keller adds a verbose warning message when the incorrect PF attempts
to control timestamping for a port to which it was not assigned. The primary
intent of this message is to help debugging the reason why the SIOCSHWSTAMP
ioctl has failed and to help narrow the cause of the issue.

cc25eaae23 net: ppp: fix creating PPP pass and active filters
Commit 568f194e8b ("net: ppp: use
sk_unattached_filter api") inadvertently changed the logic when setting
PPP pass and active filters. This applies to both the generic PPP subsystem
implemented by drivers/net/ppp/ppp_generic.c and the ISDN PPP subsystem
implemented by drivers/isdn/i4l/isdn_ppp.c. The original code in ppp_ioctl()
(or isdn_ppp_ioctl(), resp.) handling PPPIOCSPASS and PPPIOCSACTIVE allowed to
remove a pass/active filter previously set by using a filter of length zero.
However, with the new code this is not possible anymore as this case is not
explicitly checked for, which leads to passing NULL as a filter to
sk_unattached_filter_create(). This results in returning EINVAL to the caller.

Additionally, the variables ppp->pass_filter and ppp->active_filter (or
is->pass_filter and is->active_filter, resp.) are not reset to NULL, although
the filters they point to may have been destroyed by
sk_unattached_filter_destroy(), so in this EINVAL case dangling pointers are
left behind (provided the pointers were previously non-NULL).

This patch corrects both problems by checking whether the filter passed is
empty or non-empty, and prevents sk_unattached_filter_create() from being
called in the first case. Moreover, the pointers are always reset to NULL
as soon as sk_unattached_filter_destroy() returns.

6b794c1cd8 bonding: Do not try to send packets over dead link in TLB mode.
In TLB mode if tlb_dynamic_lb is NOT set, slaves from the bond
group are selected based on the hash distribution. This does not
exclude dead links which are part of the bond. Also if there is a
temporary link event which brings down the interface, packets
hashed on that interface would be dropped too.

This patch fixes these issues and distributes flows across the
UP links only. Also the array construction of links which are
capable of sending packets happen in the control path leaving
only link-selection during the data-path.

One possible side effect of this is - at a link event; all
flows will be shuffled to get good distribution. But impact of
this should be minimum with the assumption that a member or
members of the bond group are not available is a very temporary
situation.

2dc41cff75 udp: Use hash2 for long hash1 chains in __udp*_lib_mcast_deliver.
Many multicast sources can have the same port which can result in a very
large list when hashing by port only. Hash by address and port instead
if this is the case. This makes multicast more similar to unicast.

On a 24-core machine receiving from 500 multicast sockets on the same
port, before this patch 80% of system CPU was used up by spin locking
and only ~25% of packets were successfully delivered.

With this patch, all packets are delivered and kernel overhead is ~8%
