When num-channels and qcom,num-ees is not provided in devicetree, the
driver will try to read these values from the registers during probe but
this fails if the interconnect is not on and then crashes the system.
So we can provide these properties in devicetree (queried after patching
BAM driver to enable the necessary interconnect) so we can probe
cryptobam without reading registers and then also use the QCE as
expected.

In addition to keeping the kernel's copy of zstd up to date, this update
was requested by Intel to expose upstream's APIs that allow QAT to accelerate
the LZ match finding stage of Zstd.
This patch is imported from the upstream tag v1.5.7-kernel [0], which is signed
with upstream's signing key EF8FE99528B52FFD [1]. It was imported from upstream
using this command:
export ZSTD=/path/to/repo/zstd/
export LINUX=/path/to/repo/linux/
cd "$ZSTD/contrib/linux-kernel"
git checkout v1.5.7-kernel
make import LINUX="$LINUX"
This patch has been tested on x86-64, and has been boot tested with
a zstd compressed kernel & initramfs on i386 and aarch64. I benchmarked
the patch on x86-64 with gcc-14.2.1 on an Intel i9-9900K by measruing the
performance of compressed filesystem reads and writes.

The major changes that impact the kernel use cases for each version are:
v1.5.7: https://github.com/facebook/zstd/releases/tag/v1.5.7
* Add zstd_compress_sequences_and_literals() for use by Intel's QAT driver
to implement Zstd compression acceleration in the kernel.
* Fix an underflow bug in 32-bit builds that can cause data corruption when
processing more than 4GB of data with a single `ZSTD_CCtx` object, when an
input crosses the 4GB boundry. I don't believe this impacts any current kernel
use cases, because the `ZSTD_CCtx` is typically reconstructed between
compressions.
* Levels 1-4 see 5-10% compression speed improvements for inputs smaller than
128KB.
v1.5.6: https://github.com/facebook/zstd/releases/tag/v1.5.6
* Improved compression ratio for the highest compression levels. I don't expect
these see much use however, due to their slow speeds.
v1.5.5: https://github.com/facebook/zstd/releases/tag/v1.5.5
* Fix a rare corruption bug that can trigger on levels 13 and above.
* Improve compression speed of levels 5-11 on incompressible data.
v1.5.4: https://github.com/facebook/zstd/releases/tag/v1.5.4
* Improve copmression speed of levels 5-11 on ARM.
* Improve dictionary compression speed.

Similar to commit e4b5ccd392 ("drm/v3d: Ensure job pointer is set to
NULL after job completion"), ensure the job pointer is set to `NULL` when
a job's fence has an error. Failing to do so can trigger kernel warnings
in specific scenarios, such as:
1. v3d_csd_job_run() assigns `v3d->csd_job = job`
2. CSD job exceeds hang limit, causing a timeout → v3d_gpu_reset_for_timeout()
3. GPU reset
4. drm_sched_resubmit_jobs() sets the job's fence to `-ECANCELED`.
5. v3d_csd_job_run() detects the fence error and returns NULL, not
submitting the job to the GPU
6. User-space runs `modprobe -r v3d`
7. v3d_gem_destroy()
v3d_gem_destroy() triggers a warning indicating that the CSD job never
ended, as we didn't set `v3d->csd_job` to NULL after the timeout. The same
can also happen to BIN, RENDER, and TFU jobs.

The V3D driver still relies on `drm_sched_increase_karma()` and
`drm_sched_resubmit_jobs()` for resubmissions when a timeout occurs.
The function `drm_sched_increase_karma()` marks the job as guilty, while
`drm_sched_resubmit_jobs()` sets an error (-ECANCELED) in the DMA fence of
that guilty job.
Because of this, we must check whether the job’s DMA fence has been
flagged with an error before executing the job. Otherwise, the same guilty
job may be resubmitted indefinitely, causing repeated GPU resets.
This patch adds a check for an error on the job's fence to prevent running
a guilty job that was previously flagged when the GPU timed out.
Note that the CPU and CACHE_CLEAN queues do not require this check, as
their jobs are executed synchronously once the DRM scheduler starts them.

The page table population code in map_range() uses a recursive algorithm
to create the early mappings of the kernel, the DTB and the ID mapped
text and data pages, and this fails to take into account that the way
these page tables may be constructed is not precisely the same at each
level. In particular, block mappings are not permitted at each level,
and the code as it exists today might inadvertently create such a
forbidden block mapping if it were used to map a region of the
appropriate size and alignment.
This never happens in practice, given the limited size of the assets
being mapped by the early boot code. Nonetheless, it would be better if
this code would behave correctly in all circumstances.
So only permit block mappings at level 2, and page mappings at level 3,
for any page size, and use table mappings exclusively at all other
levels. This change should have no impact in practice, but it makes the
code more robust.

The driver abuses the MSI descriptors for internal purposes. Aside of core
code and MSI providers nothing has to care about their existence. They have
been encapsulated with a lot of effort because this kind of abuse caused
all sorts of issues including a maintainability nightmare.
Rewrite the code so it uses dedicated storage to hand the required
information to the interrupt handler.

The driver walks the MSI descriptors to test whether a descriptor exists
for a given index. That's just abuse of the MSI internals.
The same test can be done with a single function call by looking up whether
there is a Linux interrupt number assigned at the index.
What's worse is that the function is completely unserialized against
modifications of the MSI-X control by operations issued from the interrupt
core. It also brings the PCI/MSI-X internal cached control word out of
sync.
Remove the trainwreck and invoke the function provided by the PCI/MSI core
to update it.

The PCI/TPH driver fiddles with the MSI-X control word of an active
interrupt completely unserialized against concurrent operations issued
from the interrupt core. It also brings the PCI/MSI-X internal cached
control word out of sync.
Provide a function, which has the required serialization and keeps the
control word cache in sync.
Unfortunately this requires to look up and lock the interrupt descriptor,
which should be only done in the interrupt core code. But confining this
particular oddity in the PCI/MSI core is the lesser of all evil. A
interrupt core implementation would require a larger pile of infrastructure
and indirections for dubious value.

In cases where an allocation is consumed by another function, the
allocation needs to be retained on success or freed on failure. The code
pattern is usually:
struct foo *f = kzalloc(sizeof(*f), GFP_KERNEL);
struct bar *b;
,,,
// Initialize f
...
if (ret)
goto free;
...
bar = bar_create(f);
if (!bar) {
ret = -ENOMEM;
goto free;
}
...
return 0;
free:
kfree(f);
return ret;
This prevents using __free(kfree) on @f because there is no canonical way
to tell the cleanup code that the allocation should not be freed.
Abusing no_free_ptr() by force ignoring the return value is not really a
sensible option either.
Provide an explicit macro retain_ptr(), which NULLs the cleanup
pointer. That makes it easy to analyze and reason about.

Smatch noticed that inode_getblk() can return 1 on successful mapping of
a block instead of expected 0 after commit b405c1e58b ("udf: refactor
udf_next_aext() to handle error"). This could confuse some of the
callers and lead to strange failures (although the one reported by
Smatch in udf_mkdir() is impossible to trigger in practice). Fix the

scx_bpf_reenqueue_local() can be invoked from ops.cpu_release() to give
tasks that are queued to the local DSQ a chance to migrate to other
CPUs, when a CPU is taken by a higher scheduling class.
However, there is no point re-enqueuing tasks that can only run on that
particular CPU, as they would simply be re-added to the same local DSQ
without any benefit.
Therefore, skip per-CPU tasks in scx_bpf_reenqueue_local().
