commit c409ca3be3 upstream.
Change the validation of number_of_packets in get_pipe to compare the
number of packets to a fixed maximum number of packets allowed, set to
be 1024. This number was chosen due to it being used by other drivers as
well, for example drivers/usb/host/uhci-q.c
Background/reason:
The get_pipe function in stub_rx.c validates the number of packets in
isochronous mode and aborts with an error if that number is too large,
in order to prevent malicious input from possibly triggering large
memory allocations. This was previously done by checking whether
pdu->u.cmd_submit.number_of_packets is bigger than the number of packets
that would be needed for pdu->u.cmd_submit.transfer_buffer_length bytes
if all except possibly the last packet had maximum length, given by
usb_endpoint_maxp(epd) * usb_endpoint_maxp_mult(epd). This leads to an
error if URBs with packets shorter than the maximum possible length are
submitted, which is allowed according to
Documentation/driver-api/usb/URB.rst and occurs for example with the
snd-usb-audio driver.

commit 663d294b47 upstream.
`vmk80xx_alloc_usb_buffers()` is called from `vmk80xx_auto_attach()` to
allocate RX and TX buffers for USB transfers. It allocates
`devpriv->usb_rx_buf` followed by `devpriv->usb_tx_buf`. If the
allocation of `devpriv->usb_tx_buf` fails, it frees
`devpriv->usb_rx_buf`, leaving the pointer set dangling, and returns an
error. Later, `vmk80xx_detach()` will be called from the core comedi
module code to clean up. `vmk80xx_detach()` also frees both
`devpriv->usb_rx_buf` and `devpriv->usb_tx_buf`, but
`devpriv->usb_rx_buf` may have already been freed, leading to a
double-free error. Fix it by removing the call to
`kfree(devpriv->usb_rx_buf)` from `vmk80xx_alloc_usb_buffers()`, relying
on `vmk80xx_detach()` to free the memory.

commit 08b7c2f920 upstream.
If `vmk80xx_auto_attach()` returns an error, the core comedi module code
will call `vmk80xx_detach()` to clean up. If `vmk80xx_auto_attach()`
successfully allocated the comedi device private data,
`vmk80xx_detach()` assumes that a `struct semaphore limit_sem` contained
in the private data has been initialized and uses it. Unfortunately,
there are a couple of places where `vmk80xx_auto_attach()` can return an
error after allocating the device private data but before initializing
the semaphore, so this assumption is invalid. Fix it by initializing
the semaphore just after allocating the private data in
`vmk80xx_auto_attach()` before any other errors can be returned.

Colin King reported a bug in read_bbreg_hdl():
memcpy(pcmd->rsp, (u8 *)&val, pcmd->rspsz);
The problem is that "val" is uninitialized.
This code is obviously not useful, but so far as I can tell
"pcmd->cmdcode" is never GEN_CMD_CODE(_Read_BBREG) so it's not harmful
either. For now the easiest fix is to just call r8712_free_cmd_obj()

speakup_soft also needs to set itself alive, otherwise the switch would

ashmem_pin() is calling range_shrink() without checking whether

commit 76b7fe8d6c upstream.
The adt7316/7 and adt7516/7 have the option to output voltage proportional
to temperature on dac a and/or dac b. The default dac resolution in this
mode is 8 bits with the dac high resolution option enabling 10 bits. None
of these settings affect dacs c and d. Remove the "1 (12 bits)" output from
the show function since that is not an option for this mode. Return
"1 (10 bits)" if the device is one of the above mentioned chips and the dac
high resolution mode is enabled.
In the store function, the driver currently allows the user to write to the
ADT7316_DA_HIGH_RESOLUTION bit regardless of the device in use. Add a check
to return an error in the case of an adt7318 or adt7519. Remove the else
statement that clears the ADT7316_DA_HIGH_RESOLUTION bit. Instead, clear it
before conditionally enabling it, depending on user input. This matches the
typical pattern in the driver when an attribute is a boolean.

commit e9de475723 upstream.
The value of dac_bits is used in adt7316_show_DAC() and adt7316_store_DAC(),
and it should be either 8, 10, or 12 bits depending on the device in use. The
driver currently only assigns a value to dac_bits in
adt7316_store_da_high_resolution(). The purpose of the dac high resolution
option is not to change dac resolution for normal operation. Instead, it
is specific to an optional feature where one or two of the four dacs can
be set to output voltage proportional to temperature. If the user chooses
to set dac a and/or dac b to output voltage proportional to temperature,
the da_high_resolution attribute can optionally be enabled to use 10 bit
resolution rather than the default 8 bits. This is only available on the
10 and 12 bit dac devices. If the user attempts to read or write dacs a
or b under these settings, the driver's current behaviour is to return an
error. Dacs c and d continue to operate normally under these conditions.
With the above in mind, remove the dac_bits assignments from this function
since the value of dac_bits as used in the driver is not dependent on this
dac high resolution option.
Since the dac_bits assignments discussed above are currently the only ones
in this driver, the default value of dac_bits is 0. This results in incorrect
calculations when the dacs are read or written in adt7316_show_DAC() and
adt7316_store_DAC(). To correct this, assign a value to dac_bits in
adt7316_probe() to ensure correct operation as soon as the device is
registered and available to userspace.

first three of the last four bits are reserved. The last bit defines
the output selection of the RGOUT0 pin, otherwise known as
RTSI_Sub_Selection. For m-series devices, these last four bits are
indeed used as the output selection of the RTSI7 pin (and the
RTSI_Sub_Selection bit for the RGOUT0 pin is moved to the

(2) Allows all 4 RTSI_BRD lines to be treated as valid sources for RTSI
lines.

This is based on upstream commit 10e840dfb0, which did not touch the
iio-trig-periodic-rtc driver because it has been removed upstream.
The following explanation comes from that commit:
These stand-alone trigger drivers were using iio_trigger_put()
where they should have been using iio_trigger_free(). The
iio_trigger_put() adds a module_put which is bad since they
never did a module_get.
In the sysfs driver, module_get/put's are used as triggers are
added & removed. This extra module_put() occurs on an error path
in the probe routine (probably rare).
In the bfin-timer & interrupt trigger drivers, the module resources
are not explicitly managed, so it's doing a put on something that
was never get'd. It occurs on the probe error path and on the
remove path (not so rare).
Tested with the sysfs trigger driver.
The bfin & interrupt drivers were build tested & inspected only.
This was build tested only.

This is catching that a buffer was freed with an existing kernel mapping
still present. This can be easily be triggered from userspace by calling
DMA_BUF_SYNC_START without calling DMA_BUF_SYNC_END. Switch to a single
pr_warn_once to indicate the error without being disruptive.

Fixes: correctly handle the data size in the read operation for I2C
The function ade7854_i2c_read_reg_32() have to invoke the
i2c_master_recv() for read 32 bits values, however, the counter is set
to 3 which means 24 bits. This patch fixes the wrong size of 24 bits, to

Sending MIDI messages to a PODxt through the USB connection shows

USB descriptor shows that this endpoint it's an interrupt endpoint.

stub_probe() calls put_busid_priv() in an error path when device isn't
found in the busid_table. Fix it by making put_busid_priv() safe to be
called with null struct bus_id_priv pointer.
This problem happens when "usbip bind" is run without loading usbip_host
driver and then running modprobe. The first failed bind attempt unbinds
the device from the original driver and when usbip_host is modprobed,
stub_probe() runs and doesn't find the device in its busid table and calls
put_busid_priv(0 with null bus_id_priv pointer.

commit 22076557b0 upstream.
usbip_host updates device status without holding lock from stub probe,
disconnect and rebind code paths. When multiple requests to import a
device are received, these unprotected code paths step all over each
other and drive fails with NULL-ptr deref and use-after-free errors.
The driver uses a table lock to protect the busid array for adding and
deleting busids to the table. However, the probe, disconnect and rebind
paths get the busid table entry and update the status without holding
the busid table lock. Add a new finer grain lock to protect the busid
entry. This new lock will be held to search and update the busid entry
fields from get_busid_idx(), add_match_busid() and del_match_busid().
match_busid_show() does the same to access the busid entry fields.
get_busid_priv() changed to return the pointer to the busid entry holding
the busid lock. stub_probe(), stub_disconnect() and stub_device_rebind()
call put_busid_priv() to release the busid lock before returning. This
changes fixes the unprotected code paths eliminating the race conditions
in updating the busid entries.

After removing usbip_host module, devices it releases are left without

ashmem_mutex create a chain of dependencies like so:

(2)
llseek syscall ->
ashmem_llseek ->

(block)
(3)
getdents ->
iterate_dir ->
inode_lock ->
inode->i_rwsem (acquired)
copy_to_user ->
mmap_sem (try to acquire)
There is a lock ordering created between mmap_sem and inode->i_rwsem
causing a lockdep splat [2] during a syzcaller test, this patch fixes
the issue by unlocking the mutex earlier. Functionally that's Ok since
we don't need to protect vfs_llseek.
